Setting the benchmark

The Aprilia Tuono V4 continues to raise the bar in the Hypernaked category with never seen before levels of performance and sophistication, the result of Aprilia know-how. The designers took a superbike and created a vehicle that delivers sheer joy on the road and track alike. It’s not surprising that it has been described as “the most extraordinary sports bike you can buy, with performance and finishes which are second to none”.

As fast as lightning
The Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory is a veritable performance machine, with new lines, new aerodynamics with integrated winglets, a Moto GP-style swingarm, advanced electronics and 175 mighty horsepower all making it a standout both on the road and on the track.

Developed on the track, but always ready for the road
The Tuono V4 Factory leaves you in little doubt that it is all about thrills, adrenalin and pure unadulterated fun. Designed for the most demanding riders, who aren’t shy about hitting the track, it comes a standard component that is anything but standard, in the form of Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension.

Having purchased a bike from this dealer in the past, and it being deemed a write off by inspection, I’d not buy anything from them. That’s my experience though, so others may be different. Personally, I’d wished I hadn’t bothered.

Fair enough, they have been nothing but brilliant for me

love this bike but drinks like no other i have ever driven
    airbus330's avatar
This is very true. My older one had a range of 90 miles. Should have prepared me nicely for the electric bikes of the future!

Still reeks of chav. I can’t get past it’s millennial moped image.

Rather get a Ninja at this price point given the choice. At least with that bike you know it won’t be riddled with faults and far better screwed together.
    AndyWilmot's avatar
I'd argue a ninja reeks more of chav than this?

    Oh yeah, real "Bargain" ..
How to turn 15.5 grand into 6 grand in 36 months flat..
    Alternatively
Spend 6 grand on a used sports bike and save yourself 9500 quid cos GB roads and limits are way short of what this bike can do and will be for any used big sports bike.
(how much is a used fireblade? / hayabusa? pick another? oh look! )

Even after all these years, still the best fast road bike ever made (or likely to be made with the demise of ICE engines) I owned an early one and its hard to explain the visceral sound and feel of these bikes. Every ride was an event. Buy one while you still can.

I remember the time when we stopped in inveraray for a supper and we talk to other bikers and there was thay guy on tuono, everyone was looking at his bike, and when he left that v4 sound was something else man..

100% guaranteed death if I bought one of these. Would like one but nope no faith in myself no to die or take people with me. I literally crashed my car in a wall last night coming home so yeah no point when I can't even drive in to an entrance at night (edited)

I'd love a motorbike but I just won't take the risk of buying one, you can be as careful as you want on it but way to many idiots in cars on the roads these days.
  7. catdevnull's avatar
15k for a bike!? I could buy a used Audi/bmw/other car that completely misses the point of the post
    speedfire66's avatar
Well, on this you’d see those cars in your mirrors rather than in front

Wait for electric bikes to become more mainstream. For speed they will stuff ice bikes. Not very popular with the older bikers stuck in their ways though.

Electric bike performance is an eye opener for sure.
I've been riding for over 40 years and have lots of bikes from 50 year old classics to modern bikes with all the bells and whistles.
I'm not against electric bikes, but wouldn't have one at the moment as they are too expensive and the range is to low and charging too slow for my type of riding. (300-400miles in one day).
But, if the price was right I'd add one as a low mileage plaything.
And if an electric bike was the only bike I was allowes to have, I'd have one.
You are right though many of the bikers my age are totally against leccy bikes and cars.
    I have an EV BTW.

If your after the Ultra Dark then £14,999 here

More expensive for the Aprillia Black though which I prefer so top deal OP

Absolutely amazing motorbike, 3rd rate dealer though.

Watch out for the 'admin fee' for selling you anything

Aprilia bikes can be very expensive to service.

New Honda Hornet. ABS, traction control, quickshifter, 90hp. £7250. Most would live longer.
    c_1st's avatar
Good tip. That more upright + higher seating position is better suited to normal roads, so you can see further ahead (+ yes, better predict hazards to "live longer" )
  13. ahmet100's avatar
I prefer Harley Davidson it's much cheaper
    Tripletrouble's avatar
95% of all Harley Davidsons ever made are still on the road. The other 5% made it home....

I'm not a serious biker by any means. I don't even own a bike right now as I only used the one I did have 2 or 3 Saturdays a year. 4th time I've clicked this link in 49 minutes though.
    Anewchange's avatar
Ive put 120 miles on my bike in a year....

    Do I want another..?...YES!

Blimey! I can still remember when bikes were a poor man's form of transport. Things have clearly changed.

I had a Honda 90 (stop laughing! I loved it). My brother had a couple of Velocettes. The old man had a New Imperial. My cousin had a Royal Enfield which he took me on the back of, I'm guessing when I was about 6 or 7. (edited)

I would love a bike, I can afford one as a toy (I own a 2nd car which is my toy) and my brother is a biker, but what puts me off is the driving standards these days.

Too many idiots in the road these days, and this is when you are in a car too! At least if someone hits you, you've got a chance of survival in a car. In a bike, your handing the keys to your life to other drivers in the road. I'm still relatively young too.

Words can't describe how badly I want to ride, I have a CBT and all the kit, but it's just the way how others drive that puts me off. Sometimes when I'm in my little roadster with no airbags, I sometimes think that I'm being foolish enough. (edited)
    confusedx's avatar
you're not wrong.......I've noticed the difference between 2006 (when I last rode) to 2022 when I started again........absolutely reckless driving.
I nearly got taken out on a roundabout by a car that turned right from the left lane.

For most a bike is an expensive toy. At current bike prices, they've become a ridiculously expensive toy.
    Beyourself's avatar
Its not expensive, 15k is actually dirt cheap. Ducatis are double, tripple the price

Great deal and can imagine with the arko it sounds incredible. Unfortunately a pipe dream for me, so my Triumph Street Triple (which I still love) will have to continue it's journey

Incredible bikes, been very highly rated and reviewed for years now and for good reason. The engine is a masterpiece

Hats off to Aprilia.......they have a fraction of the design budget of other manufacturers and yet still manage to produce sublime bikes. My 2001 Suzy Gsx1400 is still going strong.....will def get an Aprilia next 😄
