Can anyone comment on how hot this actually is? I love a hot sauce but am often disappointed by what is classed as hot sauce in the UK, it's as if folk here just can't take the heat... I want it HOT!

It’s got a decent kick IMO, it’s our go to hot sauce with the costco chicken goujons but I also found the Encona Hot Sauce (blue lid squeeze bottle) and THAT is hot compared to this. I would say this Maggi sauce is a very decent medium hot sauce and good for versatility, really lovely taste too.

Pretty sure these are made specially for other market as I've never seen any of those in Malaysia the past 30 years of my life. I'll definitely give it a try if its on my local FF. The closest of what I found to be similar of the actual local Malaysia chilli sauce is the nando's chilli jam.

Similar experience... We used to have these stocked in Singers at Fairprice, Giant, Cold Storage, but the import/export market is complicated. I don't quite believe that what we experience here is the same as on the equator.

Well... I am a wimp - not a fan of hot sauce; I don't want to suffer when the food enters, and then exits my body. I only just happened to notice these in passing and thought it sounded pretty cheap. I didn't buy any, needless to say. But I posted this to share it with the community - which begs the question: If they've been available for months at this price, did you not want to take the effort to post this? Or was it easier to tell the community after someone else has posted it?

Bought a couple of these. 'Extra Hot' is definitely an understatement.

Nothing hot about Maggi hot sauce, had warmer baths.
Encona hot sauce is better or extra hot (edited)

Definetly subjective to ones tastebuds...but i this is nice chilli sauce. I prefer tasting my food with a little kick ...not scorching the tongue and upper gastro-intestinal tract with fire from the
