Avoid, completely made up specs, 8 gauge 2m is 100 amps but the longer 8 gauge 2.5m is 200 amps? and even more unbelievable the 9 gauge 3m ones are 600amps!

Anyone know if I can buy a black clamp as one of my cables end is melted it's really strong cable so don't think I'll find similar quality one

Mmm.. I don't know but my idea might be to buy a cheap welding earth clamp and use that instead. Not an electrician but i'm guessing that might work.

Was about to buy - but postage at £5.95 to NI puts me off.

how "heavy duty" are these for the price, as got some cheap ones to these with the same handles and they broke within 3 times of use.

Does 'heavy duty' not relate to their power handling as opposed to durability? If that's what you meant by broke...

If you're getting regular flat batteries it's time to replace your battery.

Halfords offer a free battery health check, and anything under a 40% SOH reading needs replacing.

40-50% is likely to fail within 18months.

SOH = state of health % (edited)

    Thank you.

Will head to Halfords to do the cca test.

Just to let everyone know I bought from ebay about 2 years ago and wire quality was ok but God they smell horrendous, so bad that if you leave them in car it wont be drivable, I let then in the garden all summer and that plastic odour wont go so be mindful
