Decent price for a budget holiday. A couple of dates around the £450 price mark in April. Deal based on the 15th - 22nd April. The park is 22km from the airport, so is quite close, transfers would need to be factored in. Have included a 20kg bag, as figured most would want that. Flights are booked through Ryanair.

The clue’s in the name. This is a fabulous, bustling parc close to the captivating Ostia coast

Fabulous by name, fabulous by nature! This Italian gem is 8km from the beautiful Ostia coast and surrounded by 70 acres of pine forest.

Camping Village Fabulous is well named as it has a brilliant pool complex, which opens in mid-April, with a massive swimming pool, lagoon pool, waterslide and whirlpool. There’s a superb restaurant and bar, as well as a gelateria for when it’s time to cool down. Fancy getting active? There’s a great animation programme for kids, with tennis courts, football, volleyball and trampolining. Head off parc and you’ll find a glorious beach a few kilometres away, where you can wiggle your toes in the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Oh and Rome is right on your doorstep too - fabulous!

Why you’ll love this parc
  • Set within 70 acres of beautiful alpine trees
  • Public transport on the doorstep to take you straight into Rome
  • Close to the Ostia coast and its beautiful beaches

Accommodation: Booked Via Eurocamp - total = £216.90

Voted hot! This is one of the very few camping sites I came across that offer relatively decent prices during school holidays. I looked at this last year, and a week for 4 during the May school holiday was about £800 and in Aug, about £300 more. Price including the flights. The location is fine from both airports in Rome. From what I understood, there is public transport, but the campsite can arrange taxis from/to the airport. They send you a form to fill in, and they book the taxi on your behalf. I don't remember the cost, but I think it was about 100 euros round trip. From what I read, this is not far from the bus station to reach Rome for a day trip.
This campsite has been on our list for quite a while, but we never managed to visit it. Rather than a day trip to Rome, I think we want a week at the campsite and 3 days in Rome.
So, those with kids know how extortionate the prices are during holidays and should save this on their list if they want a holiday at a reasonable price. Best prices we found were via Human Company. (edited)

Did eurocamp Duinrell a few years back and it was decent. Recently stayed with them near Lake Garda and it was by far the worst accommodation I've ever experienced.
