sorted byQuite a nice attitude really. I wholeheartedly approve.
unblock.us isn't a VPN service, it's a DNS service, which means that none of your traffic gets rerouted except for the tiny bit that tells websites where you're located. So you don't lose any bandwidth or speed, which is important when streaming HD video. It's a pretty excellent service, runs invisibly, and costs a little over £3 a month. I'm a fan.
Yes for Netflix, No for Pandora.
And I've literally just spent an hour messing around with various programs and settings to do exactly this but gave up, tried this and with the click of one button it installs and instantly works!
I believe it uses return 'PROXY 50.116.59.63:80';
Found that on the source file at mediahint.com/def…pac
Which is what the extension changes your proxy settings to for Google Chrome.
Might be completely wrong though

US Netflix much better than UK version...
I've recently been updating my DNS settings on PS3 again to this very thing but the new ones don't seem to last very long before errors occur & you have to search the web for more... I can now simply plug laptop in via HDMI & off we go!
Thank you!!!
(Plus, well done Media HInt... nice work)
Anyone in front of their ATV now and can try it?
I think the only way around this was to load a specific config to your iPad from an app on your computer, i can't remember exactly but it was something to do with enterprise / business configuration.
it seems like the proxy server is overloaded now with people trying to use this.
Imagine 1000 people trying to stream HD video over their proxy, it's going to be very slow.
As above i suspect too many people are using it.
I'm sure the reason Netflix "turn a blind eye" has nothing to do with all the extra money it gives them, it's just they're generally nice people!
Yes you can via changing your dns settings.
See above answer
Maybe useful to note that if you use firefox as your default browser then don't install the plugin in firefox, instead download chrome and install the plugin in chrome, hence Firefox for UK browsing and chrome for USA browsing, works for me (Also vice versa Chrome / Firefox, depending on your default browser)
using a mac ,could that be it??
Some people have complained about that on facebook I think, might as well head on over and let them know if you want or just wait for an update.
