Not sure it would be cost effective? Anyone know?

More expensive than cheapest bread in supermarket, but much cheaper than the same quality. Costs are about 2kWh of energy - 70p + 50p ingredients. Comes to £1.20 per loaf.

    Other factors:
    a) In winter the cost is closer to 50p as the heat spreads around the house so you heat less the house.
    b) Similar to if you have solar panels
    Etc.

Panasonic bread makers are the way to go if you want to bake your own bread. Just invest a little more in the long term over the Amazon basics model. Its worth it (Panasonic bread maker owner for 4 years now).

Dunno about this machine, but in general isn't the bread the point, not the price of the machine?

Alternatively just buy 45 loads of bread for £1

Buy a dutch oven and learn the recipe for no-knead bread.

    Last time it cost £32.53.
It's ok, but it's a little bit small and a bit useless. The only advantage is that you can use olive oil and plain flour without baking powder so less heartburn for you.
It's not a replacement for anything, it's more like a toy or a gadget, something that could do "bread" on Mars ( I wouldn't show that "bread" to anybody on Earth).
