high precision - to the nearest gram... doesn't sound particularly precise to me. but i guess it is cheap

It is precise enough for me in the kitchen but if one needs it for precise chemical reaction works then maybe not!

How on earth does it measure volume? ml isn't a measure of mass

1L of water weighs 1Kg, so the maths is pretty simple!

I bought one recently as a second scale. I already have the very common black plastic Salter digital scale which costs around £10-15 from most supermarkets. On paper this scale has more features for a lower price, but having used both i would recommend spending slightly more for the Salter model. The main thing i dislike on this is that although the screen updates very quickly as you pour flour into a bowl, the value you see is delayed. So you stop pouring at what looks like the correct amount but the value on the screen keeps going up briefly after you finish pouring. This means you always overshoot and put too much of an ingredient into the bowl. On the Salter alternative, the screen updates less frequently but it always shows the current correct value, so when you stop pouring, it stops updating and you weight the correct amount. Sounds minor, but i found it frustrating when trying to follow recipes.
