I thought 120hz could only be run in 1080p if not hdmi 2.1 ?
Hardance
Hdmi 2.1 isn't needed for 1440p at 120hz

Amazing how cheap this is. Tempted to get one for work but my eyesight is not as good as it used to be so 32" 1440k would be more ideal.
I don't think I've seen any 27" or 31.5/32" 1440p/QHD monitors for cheaper than this? The 155Hz would be wasted for work though but if this is the cheapest for this size and resolution then can't complain!

I just got this and its actually amazing 27" 1440p 165hz over dp GSync as well
Check my description I've already posted that video review

Decent casual PC user monitor!

I know this says gaming monitor but how's the text clarity on this thing? I'm looking to replace my office monitor (24" IPS 1920x1080) with something that has much sharper text. I can see the "stepping" on letters on mine. Take it this is down the the PPI which is only 91.
Alex_H
You'll get similar sharpness on this tbh because of the increased size. If you really want shaper text than that, you want to be looking at a 24/25" QHD screen or a 27/28" 4k screen.

How does this compare to the similarly priced cooler master that I've had my eye on? Cooler Master GA271 27 inch Gaming Monitor – QHD (2560x1440) 100Hz, 1ms MPRT, VA Panel, Adaptive Sync, HDMI, DP, Black amzn.eu/d/3…2Ni

This page's deal is better. If that monitor is capped at 100hz that's very strange (edited)

Is it worth me paying the extra and going for this IPS screen? amzn.eu/d/8…2pH

Nope that's not a good brand especially for that price mate, you're better off waiting for Black Friday, because known monitors from Lenovo, Dell, Cooler Master, LG etc... Will be around that price
What would you choose for a 2nd monitor? Not gaming

Sorry for the late message mate but if it's for work related applications, I suggest going for 27" or 32" for more screen real estate or maybe looking into a wide screen monitor, so you can have more applications open at once on one screen without it looking too small. Most likely you'll get better deals on Black Friday but if you see a deal that you think is good enough go for it 😁

feels like a silly question but how is QHD for 1080p PC/ps4 gaming and would panel matter at all there ? current pc is old but monitor is on the fritz so may as well get something a bit more futureproof

You'd definitely see an improvement over your 1080p monitor and this screen has a high refresh rate, so PC games would look a lot smoother. But your PS4 will just be standard because it doesn't support high refresh rates
