I would consider 30w gan chargers, might be a little more pricey but much more functional and efficient, especially as some come with two/dual outputs.

    amazon.co.uk/UGR…Y5V

    One example.

    Another:

issue with these are that feedback on Amazon suggested that the plugs failed over a short period of time and a question mark if they were true Apple products. i just went and bought mine from Currys for £19.

    This is perhaps Amazon
Mixing stock with fakes, or perhaps people buying from marketplace sellers and Amazon grouping the reviews together. I’m happy to gamble knowing I’ll get a refund from Amazon if it’s not what I expect

A lot of comments on Amazon suggest not genuine apple

I wonder if that's actually the case or people just being people and buying the cheapest one they can from a 3rd party seller dispatched by Amazon then blaming Amazon for it being fake.

Mine just arrived, checked serial number here, but was not recognised. It must be fake!

Edit, I called Apple, they confirmed genuine. (edited)

Waste of money, Apple themselves admit you can use any charger you like, but the fast charge functionality is proprietary to their cables.

Where did you get the fast charge restriction info from? You can use any charger or cable you want. I get 20w to my XS Max through a Syncwire cable using a generic travel charger. Measured using a USB-C power meter.

Even still, £13 is good value for a 20w USB-C charger (edited)

got these for £10 last July and this is the best price they've been in ages. Definitely worth it. Thanks OP!

O2 were doing them for £16.50 in store for quite a while. I bought one in Feb, plus they did 20% student/NHS discount, so was £13.20. (edited)
