sorted byThe Pro should ship with a minimum of 16GB of RAM imo. And if you're just using this to take notes and browse the web you'd be as well with the MacBook Air
A friend has one and I'm jealous, but not when I see he has to plug in an external SSD just so he can use it for the work he does.

but i agree its a joke to offer only 8gb256gb for £1000 laptop, macos sucks tho (edited)
In terms of power and doing things, ITS A BEAST and so far easily can manage with music production and playing guitar.
This could be software related with safari but it's a daily notification now.
We've really reached that point of diminishing returns when it comes to Laptop performance, this 3 yr old machine probably performs similar to a lot of current machines. Hell i'm still running a 13" MBP from 2014 and it still runs great.
