About this deal

Good news for all, The meal comes with no extras such as a minimum adult spend.

Asda's ‘Kids Eat for £1’ café meal deals will continue to run in over 205 Asda Café’s all year round and not just during the school holidays. The retailer last year served more than 115,000 meals across the two-week Easter holiday providing a lifeline for many families.

The supermarket launched the offer for kids under 16 to enjoy a hot meal in any of its 205 cafes in June 2022 and has now served over 3million meals to kids in its cafes nationwide. The meal comes with no extras such as a minimum adult spend.

In addition, children will receive a free piece of fruit such as an apple, pear or banana when purchasing the hot kids £1 meal deal. As an alternative to a hot meal, Asda Cafés also offer a £1 cold pick-and-mix selection that includes a sandwich, drink and piece of fruit, the menu includes new treats such as a jelly pot with whole fruit pieces or a jelly squeeze pouch as an alternative to a pack of crisps.

Can I just go in an order a coffee with my child and get a kids meal for £1?

I believe so, as no adult minimum spend

Keeping these childcare offers in place would be a significant financial help for many parents, especially in light of the rising prices expected in April. - heat up (edited)

"Over 205" Asda Cafes sounds like a lot, but its less than 20% of their stores and means that most Asda shoppers won't actually be shopping in a store with a cafe sadly.

Great deal for those that are lucky enough to have one in their local store though! If my maths is right the numbers mean last year Asda served on average 43 of these £1 meals per store per day. (edited)

Have an Asda cafe 5 mins from me. Sometimes go in there with my daughter and get a hot meal for £1. I then eat whatever’s left. Free food I guess.
