they've had 3 revisions of this board and they're still selling older faulty revisions on amazon, if you get one of those faulty versions the ethernet card will have packet losses every 15-30 mins or so... if you get v1 you need to RMA, while there's a driver workaround for v2 this driver only works with windows 10 so if you plan to use Windows 11 you need to check the version of the board to see if you got one of those faulty ones...this problem may only be really noticeable for online gamers/streamers etc where you'll notice a lag or potential disconnect in regular intervals or anyone and this only applies to the LAN card so using WiFi or using another LAN card solves this (although you'll loose the ability to WOL).

Well I just had a look at my box and I have the V1, It is in my dedicated sim racing rig which is used with ACC online only and is only connected by ethernet, Can't say I have noticed anything odd in the 2 or more years.

As much as AM4 is a dying socket, this could be a solid base for a budget build using a 5xxx CPU.
Trouble is, you are paying the ROG Tax for the RGB. Also Asus QA of late has been VERY suspect.

To think, At this price, This board has only drop 12 quid in over 2 years when I bought mine, And I bought mine pandemic time. (edited)

I very recently purchased an MSI B550M PRO VDH WIFI for £100 from either ebuyer or box and it's faultless, does everything this one does and more (WI-FI). Here you're paying an extra £40 for RGB and extra CPU memory (which is overkill at 128GB). That could be better spent on a CPU cooler or put toward a better GPU.

It's still a good find by OP, but for 99% of people looking to make an AM4 rig, there's better places to spend your money.

I bought a tomahawk for £124 and felt that was already too much and too late to spend on a dying socket. Im sure this would be amazing though.
