i love all Sci-fi. But Babylon 5 was one of those that i stopped watching after the first season. So a year ago i watched all of it and it was terrible. I mean absolutely awful. Just very cheap looking and boring. I've watched everything from Farscape to Stargate, Startrek, Space above and beyond and this was an absolute waste of time. The fact it's getting rebooted on the cw makes sense as that with all its DC shows is utterly rubbish and cheap and nasty. Do yourself a favour, save yourself 30 quid and 100 hours and don't watch this overhyped rubbish. (edited)

It’s just more traditional sci fi, a different take on todays more action oriented stuff.  It felt like the writers were more fans of 50s pulp sci fi stories with a more ‘human’ element.

I know this is going to sound like an 'old man' question... But given I've only ever owned Android phones... do you need to have an Iphone to have Itunes?

Babylon 5 is my favourite SciFi, even if Sheldon on TBBT dissed it.
I already bought seasons 1 & 2 from Amazon (£15 each). The remaining 3 seasons needed, would cost me another £45, so £30 with Itunes sounds like a bargain. (edited)

Roku devices have the apple tv app as well (note Now tv boxes don't have the Apple tv App). A Roku express is £19.99 at Argos at the moment or B & M may have some a Roku box cheap at the moment. Also you may be able to get 3 months free Apple TV with a Roku box if you are a new Apple TV subscriber

So many of the cast have died early. They must have all gone to Z'Ha'Dum.

Well it’s still the complete series since this is a movie. And like Star Trek, further series are separated, like the animated series.

Peter Jurasik & Andreas Katsulas were absolute legends; I'll love Londo & G'Kar's verbal sparring till the day I die.

Also so so many iconic ship designs!

It mysteriously disappeared off streaming services years ago, but we may see it again in the future.

    Or the distant past...

It’s a great series - rewatched it on Amazon Prime a while back - lost its way in Series 5 I always felt. Tempted, but for me having watched the entire series plus films + Crusade maybe 4/5 times, I did see its age last time, so am really waiting for it to be sub £20. Maybe £16/£17? I’d buy it then if only for pure sentiment…

I would love to see Space:Above & Beyond on offer - or even available would be nice!! (edited)

Think it was basically cancelled at the end of S4 which is why it all got wrapped up nicely. Another network offered them another season and TV movies which is why S5 feels tacked on...but yeah, definitely worse than the first 4 series but I found the second half was better.

Space : Above and Beyond was amazing, I'd love to see it get rebooted and last a few seasons at least. The twist near the end was brilliant. Have the US dvd box set from years ago somewhere

Babylon 5 is a long game. First half of season 1 is a slog but there sets ups aplenty. S2 is magnificent especially as it races to the end. S3 completely changes the show and 4 takes it into political thriller territory. Season 5 with it's truncated psi-war arc is a tough slog but does get so much better. It's not everyone's cup of tea but it's a viable and entertaining alternative to the more traditional sci-fi fare
