Extremely niche. I suspect if your looking for an M9 tap you won’t be going for a cheap Amazon chinese tat.

Worked in engineering for 20 years and never ever come across an M9 thread!

We do have some odd sized bolts at work. But even as a toolmaker for over 25 years I don't remember 9mm.

No surprise it's on sale. M9 fine pitch? Who the hell uses that?

Ideal for a key ring weight 🏻. No good for anything else though in the normal world

Like a scania wheel bolt you may need this but unlikely

Heat for such a random thing. Thought it was random enough then people saying they've never heard of an M9 thread

I inherited several different sets from my father. Never used one

    I actually thought it was a type-o when I saw M9!!!

Have some heat for such a bizarre find!!!! How on Earth did you come across this? Were you actually looking for an M9 die??? (edited)

    Once you tap, you die.

How much are the m9 nuts though??

Most brake caliper slide pins are M9 thread, BMW have been using M9 on a lot of engine threads for over 30 years.
If it was a tap id buy a few
