Bought this earlier and after much frustration trying to get it to work on my steamdeck it's incredibly buggy and doesn't load every time

switching the default resolution to Native or 1200x 800 i initially got it to boot but then it still keeps crashing pretty sure it's the EA rubbish that crashes the game

for £3.59 i can tolerate the annoying crashes but still should of been fixed long ago

Edit you could also try adding this line under

    Launch Options

    -skipvideos

This seems to bypass some crappy EA LOGO stuff and boot into the game just make sure you hit a key when prompted on the main 'Welcome to Big Surf Island' paradise logo or it still quits the game? (edited)

I've tried to launch on both my PC and steam deck but it won't launch on either so I've refunded.

I'm tempted! Been looking for a racing game to scratch the occassional itch (it's not contagious, I promise)

Bought, installed. Gets to loading screen and crashes. Tried multiple times. WOFT. Refund requested. Not OPs fault but voted cold as it doesn’t work. Sorry dude.

I went through the same issues of it not loading past the load screen. got it to work after some fiddling - the key thing is to :

    1) Run the Burnoutconfigtool.exe file in the root game directory - select webcam as NONE
    2) Run the game in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode / Run as administrator

    this should sort it out.
