Very good price, usually way more expensive! A few dates in May at £14.99 one way!
Ouarzazate is a city south of Morocco’s High Atlas mountains, known as a gateway to the Sahara Desert. Its huge Taourirt Kasbah, home to a 19th-century palace, has views over the rugged local landscape, which features in several movies. Northwest is the fortified red-earth city of Aït Ben Haddou. Northeast is the rocky Todra Gorge. A road winds southeast through the Draa Valley’s lush palm groves to the desert. ― Google
Example Dates:
Outward:
8th/11th/15th/18th/22nd/25th and 29th
Return:
8th/18th/22nd/25th and 29th!

sorted byEssaouira is beautiful, good food and small market but other than the beach there isn't much else to do. More of a chill location.
Agadir is another option - more tailored to tourism so more to do to keep the kids entertained. I have kids the same age and been to Agadir and Essaouria with them too. I avoid MK at all costs because I just don't like it - but that's more my personal taste as I'm not a fan of what it has become over the years (I've travelled to Morocco since I was a child to adulthood countless times).
Even when going off the beaten trail it was a struggle to find anything in Agadir that had much of the old Moroccan charm 😔
From what you've said, I suspect that Essaouira or Ouarzazate may well have been more my cup of (mint) tea, although I confess I hadn't heard of either of them until today!

Was looking at luxury desert camps, but most of the ones that might work with the kids seem to be near Marrakesh.
Not sure they could do a week in a basic camp without pool/tub.
Any recommendations? (edited)
Marrakesh and Casablanca I'd avoid like the plague because of the scam artists in shops, people demanding money to give directions and general nastiness.
If the vibe is like Rabat I'd go but not if the people are like Marrakech.
Anyone been?
