Would anyone working on site recommend these? Are they comfortable for a full day on your feet?

Damn, need to cancel my order then! Have worn a casual pair of dr martens before (casually) and found them quite comfy and they lasted a while too
What pair would you all recommend?

I wear a pair of "Pro Man Baltimore". Six months in and still going strong. But more generally I'd recommend boots that have non-metallic toe caps and midsole protection. Makes the boots lighter and more flexible

How embarassing to go and ask for dainty size 8 workboots at the counter, lol.

Apparently Dr Martens sold the safety footwear side of their business recently, so I'm not sure who is actually manufacturing them now. I wouldn't bet on the quality being what it was in the past though.

The soles are garbage on slippery surfaces and also wear very quickly. You're better off with something else.

I'm not sure on the safety boot side.... But the casual boot manufacturing was moved to East Asia, so the quality took a dip.

The factory that used to make Dr martens in the UK, now make the same boots they used to under their own brand - solovair. (edited)

Just got a pair of Skechers ledom boots. Not had them long but they are so comfy I could wear them on a walking trip.

Are these the vegan ones? Also why are they small sizes only available & not men's sizes?

God these are awful, someone at a place I worked had a pair and gave them to me... I wore them for half and hour and gave them to someone else.. who won't wear them...

Don't care what the label says, I wouldn't call these Dr Martens, but you'll need to see Dr Marten after wearing them for a full day..

No mid sole. No anti slip. Most sites won't allow this.
