    I believe there are other products that include it, but this one doesn't?

    This is basically an oxygen bleach + bleach activater, which are highly effective at eradicating bacteria, mould/fungus and viruses, as well as breaking down and removing organic stains in clothing.

    You'd want to do a separate wash cycle with a descaler to deal with limescale build up as needed.

    This contains the same two key ingredients contained in products like Vanish stain remover and are also two of the ingredients included in pretty much all washing powders (but not in liquid/gel detergents), sodium percarbonate (a source of hydrogen peroxide) and TAED, which reacts with the H2O2 to make peracetic acid, which I gather is more effective than chlorine based bleach.     I don't need to use this product as I use powder detergents and I leave the door and draw ajar, so my machine doesn't get mouldy and skanky. I descale my washing machine about once a year using citric acid.
