Does anyone know if the deluxe edition is worth it?

From what I can gather the deluxe version provides 1500 PGA Tour Points, a PGA Tour XP Bundle and a cosmetic pack of The Masters Gear. According to a Reddit I found the XP Bundle looks to be an XP boost to level up your golfer a bit quicker at the start of the game. Nothing that really interests me particularly, not enough to spend more money on anyway.

I wanted to love this game so much after such a long hiatus of the series. Sadly, there are many issues with the core game that leaves a sour taste in my mouth. This IS NOT the EA Sports game of the older PS2 era, or the incredible TW 2008 (PC version, which is still the best golf simulator. I actually found this game worse than Rory's. At least back then it was still on an engine that had somewhat realistic physics still, and didn't prioritize animations over input for the player.

It looks beautiful, but that's it. The core game is honestly a shambles, and I can comfortably say that I'll never return to it. I'm having too much fun with TW 2008 and custom courses. Not to mention superior TrueSwing mechanics.

I loved the Tiger Woods games in the noughties - so much fun. Never played the PC versions, only console. Maybe I will have to dust off my old copies.

SADLY This edition is riddled with pay to win store gear quite deliberately, unlike previous years game, and it's had next to zero improvements over it making it somewhat pointless. So if you are playing against online randoms, it's pretty much gonna be terrible trying to even keep up... but amongst only friends, not too bad, but lets be honest here, the old version is a better option.

EA once again lacking in development and just slapping in a cash store and a reskin and calling it 'new' like they do with Madden/Fifa etc, and copying most of the bugs every year to the new version cos they just lazy/greedy. (edited)

£8 to keep it though is a steal if you like the game.

Shame this apparently doesn’t perform well on Steam Deck. Good game though

Most frustrating and addictive game, like real golf. Good price

it runs pretty awful on pc - even with a 14900k and 4090 like most EA games tend to.

I wrote a very good mod for this game that fixed the ai. It took me a week to write it. An update broke the mod. The game is less broken on ps5. But it's still broken.
EA don't release realistic sports games. You have to mod them to give a semblance of realism. Ea have made effective modding almost impossible.
Play this game ps5 or avoid. Then again maybe avoid completely if you want realism
I only play career mode. Online is full of cheats. It's a waste of time as when you max out your skills the ball puts itself in the hole. Play with minimal upgrades and you can't compete online. Ergo. It's a waste of time. (edited)
