Been looking for a cordless mower for a few weeks now. Didn’t get on with the Lidl one posted recently but picked this one up today along with the hedge trimmer

Mowed the front lawn with ease and very easy to assemble except from the grass box which was a little fiddley

Yes very good had it for about 4 years . This works well if used about once every 3 weeks, it's very light and takes no time at all to do the garden compared to the electric one. we have our old electric one for when we neglect the grass.

Heat from me I'm largely happy with mine. It's light and maneuverable. If grass isn't too long I can do front and back garden, each about 30㎡ on a couple of charges of 4Ah battery. Batteries do take a while to fully charge so best to have a couple if you can. I get about 15-20 minutes from a single charge.

Minor irritations would be that the foldable handles are a faff, the access door for the battery is awkward, it doesn't cut very low and if the grass is particularly long or at all wet it will really tax the motor and drain the battery MUCH faster. All that being said though, it's a great deal at this price. (edited)

I was looking at Lidl and this one too, out of interest what didn't you like about the Lidl one? Parkside are normally decent so just curious (edited)

The first one I had the handles didn’t align due to the bottom being bent

the second one had a similar issue but not too bad once I reshaped but it was the starting mechanism. The wire was too long so when using the leaver nothing would happen

had to take the bar off and pull it past the handle for it to start.

Didnt fancy chancing on a third mower when I found this deal

I have this mower. our lawn is 80m2 and I can easily do it on 1 battery with charge left over. If lawn is left unkept then I'll need 2 batteries. It depends on the length of grass as to how long it lasts. If it's working harder then not too long but if grass is short I think I get over 30 mins.

Einhell are a decent cheaper brand similar to bosch green and I have 5 of their tools because they keep doing amazing deals with free batteries. heat

Bought ours last year, easy to use on a small lawn - about 60sqm. We have a couple of different capacity batteries as we also have a strimmer , recharge times are good. Very pleased so far for a relatively lightweight mower. Lowest setting is about 25mm which is fine for us.

I've had the Ozito branded one which I bought at discount from Homebase. That was just after the store had been briefly owned by Bunnings, which would put it late 2018/early 2019).
It's done sterling service since then, including coping with a lawn left for 4 weeks whilst we visited relatives abroad.
The only criticism is that the close cut isn't particularly close - that said it is a rotary after all and not a cylinder mower.
A plus is that batteries are fully interchangeable with Einhell PowerXchange ones, which suits my long reach hedge trimmer/pole chainsaw and my strimmer just fine.
When my angle grinder finally dies I might well aim for an Einhell/Ozito cordless.

I've got an Einhell. I got it from Homebase a few years ago. It's been brilliant. Mine has double batteries and it's not the same model as this one. I've had zero issues with mine and get maybe 40 mins from the batteries. I would buy again

As others have said, they're not too bad, but not great either.

Main frustrations are it will need an extra charge to get through longer grass, going through once on long and again on the medium height. It cuts out if it hits a reasonable amount of resistance and doesn't have the torque to smash through longer grass.

Lowest setting isn't short, so if that's your bag avoid.

It also has an annoying habit of jumping out of the cutting height setting if the wheels touch an obstacle.

I'm looking to ditch mine now and get a decent petrol mower.

Checked the Reviews at lowest setting, it doesn’t appear to give a close cut.

Yes from the look of the photo this model doesn't have adjustable height. That's a definite issue. Mine has around 5 settings for height and it's essential. Especially in very warm weather

Isn't parkside battery compatible with this brand ?

No, I read that it was and piled on, on a pair of parkside 4ah batteries with a double charger.  They’re now sat in my garage and not compatible with anything.

I opted for yard force which comes with strimmer. So far so good. 150 at Wilko and 10 percent off after signing up to newsletter. Couple this with tcb and the price isn't too dissimilar. Worth the Hassel for what is effectively a free strimmer.

    I have this mower.

    Pros:

    - so convenient not having to faff about with a wire whilst cutting
    - battery run time of about 40 mins

    Cons:

    - if your grass is long the battery will drain quicker during cutting
    - no roller on the mower to make stripes in the lawn
    - the height adjustable wheels have a habit of popping into different positions when cutting so constantly have to check them to make sure they’re still where you set them

Overall not a bad mower. Very convenient to just get it out of the shed and get the cut done asap.

This might not be the mower you are looking for if you’re looking for a perfect lawn.
