About the game
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE is a bold reimagining of the original FINAL FANTASY VII, originally released in 1997, developed under the guidance of the original key developers.
This critically-acclaimed game, which mixes traditional command-based combat and real-time action, makes its Steam debut along with FF7R EPISODE INTERmission─a new story arc featuring Yuffie Kisaragi. By exploiting mako, the life-blood of the planet, through their mako reactors, the Shinra Electric Power Company has all but seized control of the entire world. A ragtag group of idealists, known as Avalanche, are one of the last bastions of resistance.

Cloud, an elite SOLDIER operative-turned-mercenary takes part in an Avalanche operation to destroy Mako Reactor 1 in the city of Midgar.
The bombing plunges the city into fiery chaos, and Cloud is tormented by visions of a bitter enemy long thought dead.

Once more begins a story that will shape the destiny of an entire world.

Late port, Epic exclusive for the longest time, PC issues, only first episode of the entire experience, game is now four years old and yea, it's wild that Square still thinks this title demands some premium. £29 being some cheap, discounted price is crazy.

Sorry OP, but I'm still voting Cold. It may be best price available, but it's not a great deal. (edited)

Good price, but the game is painfully slow and contains so much filler it's unbelievable. A 12 hour game pushed out to over 25 is just beyond me. Huge fan of the original though and I love this games combat.

This is what usually draws me away from japanese titles, this need for filler for the sake of it.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is theoretically a game I'd love... I couldn't get past that first bit, chasing Gohan around, fetching crap, it was just boring as well.

Nier Automata for example has repetition but it was so much fun that I didn't mind it.

I loved the original FF7 back in the day, finished it on PSX and PC but I wouldn't have the patience or time for it now.

Just on chapter 16, with Rebirth coming tomorrow. Apparently there’s about 5 hours left on the Remake and 4 hours for Intermission. So, not much sleep happening..

I am playing at the moment, on chapter 9 now
