Have one (no, not made of LEGO). My experience:
    - It works, I use it to snipe dandelions although sometimes you will snap off the very tip of the tap root. Much better for your back than bending over/on your knees in the garden (steady on).
    - Best if you have light to moderate weeds in otherwise grassy lawn, otherwise there will be LOTS of holes in the ground which you might then want/have to fill (sounds obvious, yes)
    - Doesn’t work so well if you have shallow soil with gravel, rocks or stone underneath.
    - Doesn’t work so well/not so joyful when soil is wet/damp (edited)

Are these any good at removing bramble roots?
    frogger77's avatar
They're ok. It takes a couple of digs and pulls to get out. From my experience it does get some of the root but then I had to pull the rest of it out by hand as it had burrowed through the ground

it leaves a hole in the ground after removing weed and grass around it though...
    gdata's avatar
Yes that hole would be where the weed was growing in the ground!

We had a massive garden and I wanted one of these. Mrs bought me one as a surprise just before she decided were moving. Garden now is the size of a postage stamp

Love the pump action offload. Annoying when you dig into a rock and jam it but it’s not the products fault. Looking forward to smoking more weeds from this.

Does this work on patios or is this for lawns only?
    ukash1989's avatar

It would work if you have a large gap between your patio but that would need to be quite. It

These are great.... Until a week after the warranty ends, then the only bit that's inexplicably made from plastic rather than metal snaps and the whole thing is useless! Much better off with the traditional grandpa's weeder!

I have one and its really good! sadly mine broke after a year and a bit but they have a good guarantee period so they replaced it free of charge but came over from the Netherlands if I remember and had to wait a few months.

They are about the best about and you really don't need to be too strong to use this.
Does leave holes in the lawn but easier to fill them after than trying to manually dig out the weeds.

    I would really recommend it

£19.99 is a great deal IMO

Even if it says your local is out of stock you can still select it when making payment and it will say being delivered from warehouse to store, available in 3-5 working days.

Was going to go for this but none in stock local to me.

None in mine either, but I thought I'd pop in & check in case they had one hidden away or would be wiiling to sell me the one in the window display!
Spoke to staff, & they kindly ordered one in for me at the same deal price. They will text/email when ready to pickup.
