Day or night, rain or shin, the Flymo EasiLife Robotic Lawnmower automatically mows the lawn so you don't have to.

Designed for gardens up to 350m² the Flymo EasiLife 350 is a battery powered fully automatic robotic lawnmower that gives you a tidy lawn with zero effort - simply complete the installation, set the schedule and off it mows.

Features intuitive Assist-U interface for easy scheduling, monitoring and communication with the mower from the onboard keypad & LCD display or via the smartphone app.

It also comes with LawnSense and FrostSense to automatically adapt cutting schedule based on weather and lawn growth conditions. The charging station can be placed virtually anywhere around the edge of the lawn - even in corners, and the guide wire lets you set multiple start points and optimises navigation to and from the charge station to prevent track marks and ensuring every corner of the lawn is cut.

This EasiLife 350 Robotic Lawnmower will be delivered in a Flymo branded box and comes with an extra 12 months warranty upon registration of the product on the Flymo Website.

Patented guide wire technology and multiple start points ensure your mower navigates all areas of your lawn. It even helps the mower to find its way home without leaving unsightly track marks.

Mowing Adapts to the Weather
LawnSense automatically optimises the cutting schedule to the weather and lawn growth conditions, and FrostSense detects when it's too cold to operate - preventing any damage to your lawn.

Simple Programming
The scheduling wizard gets you ready to mow in three easy steps. Simply choose the lawn size, mowing days and start time and the mower calculates the perfect schedule.

EasiLife App
Intuitive controls at your fingertips. Provides access to scheduling wizard, mower status and support information from your smartphone.

A Healthier, Greener Lawn

I've got the Easylife 200 (the numbers represent the max sqm of lawn itll cut before needing a charge).

A very very good bit of kit, £325 is a great deal

I worry about what people say about the app with this one. Can it be used without it?
    nick_sub's avatar
Yes, it can. There isn't much to the app really. I rarely use it.

I'm not sure about the app. I've just ordered the easilyfe 500 so I'll see. I would say that I've had the 1200r for the last 4 years or so and it's, by far, one of the best things I've bought. I've got a complicated garden, and it's not without its issues (broken boundary wires, no loop signal, etc) but it's still well worth it and better than cutting the lawn myself. Also, there's tools out there to find broken wires...will report back this season.

Can you advise on the tool please. I occasionally have had to go round on all 4s looking. 🤷🏼

I hate gardening so much and regret putting lawn down instead of stone chips when I last moved to a new build and like the idea of this but people saying the mower cuts the wire puts me off - is it a big hassle if it cuts it?

the lawn is quite bumpy in areas and would expect it to get cut and wondering more bother than it’s worth maybe

lopks like the charger gets sat on the lawn which assume means a dead patch and the mower doesn’t get right up to it?

also any danger of it falling off a block paved around around the lawn or does that mean it doesn’t cut right to the edge?
    Chiptivo's avatar
I've had mine for a short while and I love it.
Regarding guide wire concerns. It's a single core wire, you get little waterproof connection press down blocks to reconnect the wire if it gets cut. It can handle 35 degree slopes and drops.

I was concerned about the wire as well, so I used a spade and marked out the area by just placing space down a couple of inches around where the wire was going.

Them laid the wire pegging in about 2" under the ground.

Then used a flat wooden spoon thing to push it down and keep[ing it tight under the ground.

Works great for me, the initial setup is important, quite a few moaners that can't read a quick start guide and don't lay the guide and perimeter wires correctly.

This seems like a good deal to me, have some heat

A couple of questions for anyone who has one before I buy.....
1.My garden slopes slightly towards my shed, would this mower be ok with that?
2.Would it have issues going up against the fence?
3.Do you leave the charging base out permanently? I am thinking it could go to the left of my shed as there is an area of space there, so I could set it back so it is slightly on the grass and then on stones or a patio slab.
4.Is it possible to get low power extension lead for the charger base as I do not have any power outlets near the shed but I do from the angle I took the image but this is right over the other end of the garden by the house.

    Thanks in advance

    1) Should be fine with that slope, in theory it can handle much more
    2) You need to lay the boundary wire around the lawn and there's a recommended distance from obstacles like your shed/fence in the installation guide.. follow that and beside the shed/fence you'll need to do the edging yourself with a strimmer or similar occasionally .. the sides against the paving stones look level with the lawn so you can lay the guide wire closer and it will do the edges
    3) Mine is out permanently doesn't seem to have a problem with that
    4) The charging cable that comes with it will not reach that far but you can buy outdoor extension leads .. something like this screwfix.com/p/p…97X

    Hi
I'm interested in one of these - can anybody suggest how the cables could be laid in my garden, and would there be enough supplied?
    Thanks
    52582009-TIrNH.jpg
    Donal_Kane's avatar
There's loads of cable supplied ( and it's easy to buy more anyway ) .. I don't think you'd have an issue with amount of cable ... The problem might be with some of the gaps between your flowerbeds and the flower bed and patio .. if they are not very wide then you might have an issue .. Also the way the product works where it just 'bounces' off the boundary wire as it randomly works its way around the cutting area might mean that with such a complicated lawn that you'd end up with uneven cutting

The manual is here tooled-up.com/art…pdf .. the stuff about making islands on p17 is what you want

A potentially silly question, but given all of these robot lawnmower's mulch, as they don't bag up the cut grass.

How does that work in practicality with kids? i.e if they start using the garden and rolling around e.t.c, do they just end up with tons of grass clippings all over them, ....or not?
    philipmarkmurphy's avatar
After a period of time the grass it cuts is in millimetres and sits below the height of the grass, has never really caused any problems for me. The lawn eventually absorbs the cuttings. Best to cut the grass first with a normal mower and grass box I find before starting to use the robot mower. (edited)

I have something like that, and have also used an AM radio many times. I would say it's not much more effective than the radio overall but it's good to have both options. Even then, breaks can still be hard to find, especially partial breaks.

Does anyone have any direct experience of how well this copes with sloped lawns? We have a large-ish section with an incline of about 30°.
    gman99's avatar
Would like to know about this also, have a similar slope
  10. Ali_Jahz's avatar
I've had a 500 for 3 years now. It really is the best thing ever when it works. Usual things with boundary wires. Diagnosing the breaks if they occur is a real PITA even using an AM radio. What I have found is not using the supplied boundary wire which is basically glorified speaker wire and bought some thicker more heavier duty wire from amazon. Another 100 quid give or take depending on your perimeter but money well spent.

i've got one of these.. After 2 years its still not actually done anything. App is rubbish, and I'm still trying to figure out why the mower doesn't go anywhere. My next step is to upgrade the firmware, which of course can only be done with one of those old USB cables you got with a printer in 2001.
I would advise anyone wanting one of these to wait until lawnmowers that don't need a cable to be laid around the lawn, another cable that goes down the middle and a station to be put on a corner of the lawn become cheaper.
    Chiptivo's avatar
You need to try and follow the very basic installation videos or just read the 4 page quick start leaflet.

I have the earlier 1200r model, 400m2 and no app or weather monitoring, it’s recently headed out for its 5th season without any major issues, occasional repairs to the perimeter cable where bare ends can be seen. It’s a brilliant bit of kit, saves so much time. My only criticisms of our model is the lack of weather monitoring (addressed with this mode) and the hassle of the boundary wire (setting up).
  13. C0mbat's avatar
What happens if you have a bigger garden? Can you program it to manage two different sections? So do 350m2, then charge and then go and do another 350m2?

I lift mine to the second area. Leave it there an hour, then put it back in the main area to find the guide wire and charge.
  14. nick_sub's avatar
Yes, the wire has to connect between the sections in one big loop though, even if the sections are not joined.
  15. tspill's avatar
Do you bury the perimeter wires? Or do they have to be above ground?
    RudeYute's avatar
You knock the posts in a little, but you will see the wire initially - over time (a few months), the grass will grow over it to bury it.

Peg it or bury it. It's swings and roundabouts. The mower is more inclined to cut it pegged but it's easier to find the breaks or vice versa.

Mines been going steadily for over 1 year now.
Only complaints comparing vs my previous cheaper one is that the previous would finish or start with a cut around the perimeter first and would go straight into the garage to finish off. While the flymo does this 180 before parking and sometimes doesn't align 100% with the charger dock as reliably like the previous. But very good mower that been going for months without touching anything

How do they handle the occasional dog landmine that may be missed in between mowing sessions? 🐕

They have a tendency to squash them down with their wheels. It's fine really. The robot vacuums, however...
  21. dave959525's avatar
Sorry here comes a stupid question, hopefully some one can help! So I have approximately 800m of grass, this does 350m, but what is the difference between this and one for 1000m ? Is it the battery size? If I used this one would it just mean it would be cutting and charging longer? I know I would probably need to buy more perimeter wire but not £1000 for a bigger robot lawnmower.
