I got one from Amazon for £18 which looks like the pro kleen unit but without the pro-kleen label. Thick walled bottle and has brass fittings, Foams up nicely. It`s used with a K2 and pro kleen snow foam (5L bought from amazon was either £10 or £15).

notice how only a small amount of foam is actually on the floor? this is properly done (thickness) yours looks like runny sperm

judging by YouTube reviews etc this is really really bad foam, its too runny and most of your product is on the floor? for the money aka its crap but I only paid £10 for it what you want? mentality

Any recommendations for a Bosch pressure washer pls thanks

I’ve had this for the last 12 months, https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DS7CZM8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 used it with Eurocarparts triple qx snow foam (got 2 bottles dirt cheap, excuse the pun), might not be the thickest but it is thick enough, but it goes on well, takes a while to drip off.

No offence, but you probably don't know what you've bought. I can't see any B&Q deals posted here for Karcher Compact. I can see a deal from B&Q for Karcher Basic. Which I know very well it was that price as I saw it in B&Q 2 days ago. I can't see any deals for £65 for Karcher Compact.

About that price in B&M bargains new lol

These are a completely different animal to the ones bought years ago.

I've had my karcher for over 20 years now , don't treat it especially well , other than make sure no water is in it when lying in shed over winter or it'll freeze and bust it

That code didn't work for me mate on another product

Argos say the K3 is rated 80 max 120.

So Which one is good for 100£ range?

They are normally buried somewhere

Couldn't find what the Karcher rated pressure was. Is it mentioned anywhere?

Max pressure is a scam it's what pressure you get for the split second when you first operate the washer. After that it's rated so always go for the better rated pressure.

I've had mine for over 5 years and use it at least 6 times a year for cleaning the car and paving slabs, even the brickwork on my house. It's still going strong. The only thing that has broken is the dirt blaster, but I just bought a third party replacement on eBay for about £10 delivered.

You should still look in to upgrading, this video shows the difference between a more robust lance and the cheap karcher ones

Although their own brand detergent is definitely a rip off. The 1L will do 2 cars maybe if you’re not generous, 3 at a real push. Autoglym would get you 2.5L of snow foam which you’d mix 4:1 giving you 12.5L of mixed foam. So about 6x more foam for your money. I use prokleen foam which is closer to 10x the foam for your money compared to karchers

Ah yeah maybe that's it, I have the K5 Thanks (y)

It works fine, but the foam is nowhere near thick enough. Runs off the car in a couple minutes. I upgraded to a copper foam lance and it gets a good 5-10 minutes of dwell time. It’s maybe ok if you have a more powerful pressure washer like a k5 or k7. I would get something more robust if using a k2 or k3 though (I use k2)

I bought one and found it to be great! What was your issue with it? Really gives off some thick foam!

ok. 130 bar is the maximum recommended for cleaning a car. Night

I mention that because someone is going to put it on full bar to wash their car. Which would be a massive mistake. And then be faced with a respray. 180 bar is not for cleaning car paintwork. Although cleaning alloys would be fine.

It has an adjustable pressure lance

The £50 cash back also applies to the K5 model but is only applicable to the K5 & K7 WITH FULL CONTROL. To be honest I don’t fancy the complicated electronics in the head and all the wiring, etc that has to be included in the hose to get the signals there!

I think most of the offers are for the K2 series and most people don’t realise that ‘not all Karchers are the same’. The K2 has a lot of plastic in it!

As a 15 year old I found this a great way of earning money, I charge 12 quid a hour and it will take hours, great affordable machine well worth it.

It's obvious to me that there was no thermal cut-out on the 2 K2s I had. That would have made them last.

Can recommend Bosch have 2 one over 10 years old

I've had my Karcher a good number of years now without issue, luck of the draw may be

From https://pressurewasherreviewer.co.uk/what-are-the-differences-between-karcher-pressure-washers/ ========================================================================================= Differences between Karcher Compact and Full Control In 2019 Karcher rebased compact models of their pressure washer range, for example, you can buy a Karcher K2 Full Control, or K4 Full control, and you can also get a Karcher K2 Compact, or Karcher K4 compact. So what are the differences? The compact version is more compact, it is the same spec as the full control counter part. So the engine is the same, in terms of accessories you get lance, however the compact version is more basic and doesn’t have the visual settings of the full control version. The detergent bottle isn’t built in, you get a suction tube which you insert into your own bottle that you would have to place on the ground next to the pressure washer. The compact models are also cheaper than that full control versions too, so if you don’t think you will use the detergent bottle feature and don’t need the full control lance, then you can save some money with the compact version which is also smaller and lighter too. ----------------------------- Like i mentioned, the only differences are the gimicky features on the bigger model, that i can happily live without - Id rather spend the money on higher pressures/flow than having an LED light on a lance.

Thanks - it must compromise in other areas? What are these? Otherwise why wouldn't everyone want a smaller model if it does the same thing?

It's identical components internally. The differences are all external. Metal pump etc

Does the K5 compact have the metal rather than plastic components? I know the K5 normal.machine has metal...

Have this set from years ago, used it at the weekend to clean one of my sandstone patios with the patio cleaner T150 fitted and worked a treat. Decent throughput as long as your tap can supply enough water.

Are these noisy? I have an old type ha;fords one but it’s really noisy

We have this and cleans the patio (and stone wall) perfectly - as stated above I dont see what more power would do!

Would you reccoemend paying the extra for the K4?

Karcher K2 Full Control Pressure Washer £99.99 at cleanstoreuk ebay

Available from CleanStore UK on eBay. Seems good to me.

Yes. That is correct on paper. The reality is that I couldn’t detect any performance difference when I tried one immediately after the other to compare them.

tool station is much cheaper

The present Parkside one on offer (until tomorrow if you can find any left) is the PHD 170 A1 which is much more powerful (bar and flow rate) than the Karcher K2. I bought one for £99.99 when it came on offer last Thursday. Very pleased with it. I had extensive paving to clean which I think the K2 would have struggled with. As to robustness no sign of cracked chassis with mine and appears very well built. Edited to add that this YouTube Video shows the machine and accessories well, but I would not advise using the brush on your car, though it might clean dirty wheels:-

Thanks OP my daughter bought the Lidl one and her hubby is made up, thinks its about the equivalent of the Karcher K5 and with a 3 Year Warranty you`d be sily not too. Heres Which Mags Verdict Which? verdict: At just under £100, the Lidl Parkside PHD170 A1 is around a third of the price of other pressure washers with a similar spec. It comes with plenty of accessories to tackle plenty of jobs around the garden. We tried it out at home to bring you our first impression of how well it cleans. Read our review to see whether this pressure washer is worth snapping up. The Parkside PHD 170 Pressure Washer is on offer at the moment in store for £99.99. I bought one yesterday and have already put it to good use. Impressed and very pleased with it so far, though inital difficulties in getting water into the machine turned out to be due to the transparent inlet nozzle they supply with it not allowing the hose coupling that goes on to it to open. My Vanity Fair tin from the garage produced an alternative nozzle that works though. Kärcher Alloy Wheel Wash Brush for Pressure Washer Accessory £14.53 (Prime) + £4.49 (non Prime) at Amazon
Posted 4th MayPosted 4th May
Compatible with Kärcher K2-K7 series pressure washers Ideal for hard to reach areas and small recesses The union nut ensures secure mounting to the trigger gun

To be honest go for a normal alloy wheel brush or wheel wooly and a good fallout remover like bilt hamber. I imagine quite awkward to use on the end of a trigger lance.

Fair enough (y) 🏻 can’t beat karcher stuff

I agree. £7 to £10 max.

Used it twice, mixed feelings, very bulky and not comfortable for me. Another garage treasure chest item, I would say. The quality and water flow is ok.

It depends on the alloys, the washer doesn't get into the sides of the rims on mine leaving them filthy, this brush gets it out nicely. It will very much depend on the number of spokes, I think my are 12 spoke from memory.

It really depends what you want from a pressure washer. This is a professional one so for cleaning your deck chairs then yeah it’s a bit ott. But I have a wall mounted karcher professional at work for cleaning machinery and compared to my k4 or my little cheap Vax the difference in performance is clear. Much more pressure easily removes pretty much everything it’s pointed at! Would I use it on my car? No. Way more power than is needed when fully open but if you have large patios and drive ways I imagine you’d welcome the extra more consistent power with open arms. Remember to check the kw of the motors not just get focused on the bar or psi :)

They are generally a good bit cheaper though.

Im in two minds. The Nilfisk guarantee is half as long as the Karcher and I have lots of Karcher accessories...... I can get a K5 full control premium at BnQ for £250 including cashback....

I previously had a nilfisk until I bought my K7, like I mentioned previously, thinking of selling my K7 when I get it back and buying another Nilfisk.

Just to add, the K7 only has a 6 year guarantee if you buy from karcher direct. buy from anywhere else and its a 5 year guarantee. my K5 premium gave up last week......just not sure if I want another karcher now.... Edit....just realised these XPert range have totally different fittings to normal karcher products....not good for my patio cleaner, foam lance, gutter cleaner, etc!!!

Yeah I think that's pretty accurate. The battery does take a while to charge, but you'd be surprised what you can do in 10mins.

How much more powerful is it than your normal garden hose? Would you say it sits bang in the middle between a pressure washer and a garden hose.....?

(excited) (excited) (excited) Dyson always comes out with MORE POWER (strong) I hope soon because I really need something like this for a quick maintenance rinse rather than taking 20-30 mins to set up the pressure washer and extension leads etc.

I have the Worx but for what its worth, compared to a pressure washer or mains powered washer, the benefits in general are: 1) Can use anywhere. Handy for muddy events or holidays. Even if you don't drive onto the beach you can bet your car will still get covered in sand. 2) Can use it in winter even when the outside hose is out of commission. 3) The length of the garden hose is never a limiting factor. 4) Quicker to setup and put away. 5) When used to rinse the car from filtered or rain water, there's no need to dry the car afterwards. 6) Can water the garden from rain water. Better for the plants. And doesn't waste water. 7) Can water the garden from rain water collection even during a drought and hose pipe ban. 8) If it's anything like the Worx, you can repurpose the battery and charger for other power tools. That makes the tool itself much cheaper once you've factored that out. Just a word of warning. I used mine to clean the patio and moss from between slabs and the splash back somehow got inside the multi-nozzle and wrecked it. Better to get a more basic single-setting nozzle for such things.
