I opted for the Audient Evo 8 a while back, 4 in 4 out, great for recording my band, I did look at these but cost vs inputs were much higher. Would recommend Evo 8 as great sound and cheaper if on a budget. Also Reaper for DAW, worth paying one off fee for license but you can use for free with a nag box each time you open.

I'll never trust Audient again after the horrendous crackling of my ID4 on Windows. Might be good on Mac but their Windows drivers are garbage and their customer support hopeless. Returned to Amazon.

I was originally looking at these, but I think the 2i2 is a better bet. Although the Presonus 26c has very similar specs to the 2i2 and seems to be better value.

If you don't mind used, you can get their next up range, Clarett, 2pre USB, grade B at CEX for £130 (OOS now but in quite a bit). Has better preamps, and also can be expanded with ADAT, so you can add another eight inputs for £100ish with a Behringer ADA8200.

I’ve been using mine daily on PC and Mac for probably about a year and had no issues whatsoever.
