Mysteriously transported from New York City, Frey Holland finds herself trapped in the breathtaking land of Athia.     I don't know why anyone would mark this as being helpful it doesn't say anything about why he/she thinks this isn't good I see this nonsense everywhere.They just type worst game over ever played and just leave it at at.Its like their brains run out of energy after the first two sentences and can't do any more.     Great game,the reason people don't like this is because the character is black which is a big no no in most people's minds and comes across as arrogant/ angry in some scenes,but she is an orphan and that side comes from that and her anger at the world,if you were abandoned as a baby would you be a completely sweet and nice person 100 percent of the time? It's a part of her story and fits well....🤦‍♂️she is also often sympathetic towards other people alongside it though which shows under neath that she's a good person (edited)

    There's no need in the race baiting. Having a black/female lead may make for a nice shield, but people like good games. No amount of intersectionality will compensate for that. People judge material for what it is and I really wish people would drop all of the "isms" and "phobias" and instead fix on the real reason people don't like them or their works.

    Having an obnoxious, unlikeable protagonist is the least of this game's faults. I'm surprised it took this long for the price to drop. Just a pity that these modern games that are decided at committee and then rushed out full of bugs and generally lacking in fun factor get the inevitable terrible critic scores and then bomb, resulting in studio closures, redundancies etc. It must be terrifying working in the video gaming industry, spending years on a game and then waiting for the resulting "I do not recommend this game" videos.

    Thought this was really good and I played it day one. I imagine it's much better after patches as well. Magic system is fantastic the only criticism I can really give it is the writing. But even that's misunderstood. She's a street kid, that's why the attitude. She matures over the story. Once it's free on Plus and polished it'll get praise just like Days Gone did. (edited)
