    The packaging on scents is the most expensive thing to produce. The wet stuff itself is pennies to make. Literally pennies. Madness.

    Absolutely true in high street junk but not always the case in high end stuff. Of course it cost's no where near the £199 asking price for the actual liquid.

    But do bare in mind some real ingredients cost a small fortune, Jasmine, Rose, Orris, Oud, Musk, Ambergris etc.

    Penhaligon's claim to use "authentic natural ingredients" (Sometimes people play loose with the word natural) but lets believe them for now. If so they use Rose, Jasmine and Oud in Halfeti. Which are all in the top 10 most expensive perfume ingredients. Is it close to being ingredients wise to £199, no probably £20-£30 in ingredients.
    But add in tax, shipping, packaging, staff, time to design/blend the fragrance there is not as much fat as you might think in higher end fragrances.

    There operating turn over was £48.3 million in 2021 and they showed a profit of £2.7 million in 2021. Doesn't seem that outrageous when you have the likes of British Gas making £980 million profit in glorified extortion

    I just looked back at some of my past orders. I bought Sartorial, Malabah and Halfeti in 2018 for £39 each. Also got a Bayolea gift set for £26.55 and a No.33 gift set for £44

    Same here, absolutely love the hint of liquorice, bought a bottle in Duty Free this year, but if it ends up in an outlet then I won’t need to spend £150.

    It's always been god awful. I don't understand, they're a business of higher end fragrance, you'd think they'd have a suitably good website designed to drain your pockets. Can't believe they are so convoluted when you just want to get hold of samples to try out at home. They're shooting themselves in the foot 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Well that was £199 I wasn’t expecting to spend today.

    Strangely I was at Bicester testing fragrance and thought I would buy Halfeti if I could ever get a deal on it.

    Well hopefully the “free” Petra will offset that will hold onto it a few months and plonk it on eBay for £120. Should get me £100 back after fees and leave me with a £100 bottle of Halfeti

    Excellent deal if you want to smell like a bag of licorice, I say this literally after placing an order

    Got a 30ml bottle of Halfeti, a 30ml bottle of Blenheim Bouquet, two samples of Halfeti and Solaris and the free bottle of Petra

    Think you will struggle in honesty I find penhaligons really different from other brands and scents. Although hollister so cal is a cheap really nice citrusy scent

    This is the bargain of the decade as the Petra sells for £195 I believe? So buy two samples £175 total which you can easily sell to get a free bottle

    They have replaced the offer, and it’s nowhere near as good (Halfeti wash set RRP about £50)

    Whoop, this is indeed a great deal, I ordered with 3 samples too. 200ml of quality juice at < £1 / ml is up there with High fashion houses like Chanel and Prada.
    Also, TCB tracked at £33 (hope it stays like that)
