From midnight tonight, Google will be dropping the prices of some of their products on the store, including the Pixel 7 series of smartphones, if you are subbed to 2TB Google One, then you can get 10% store credit on top of this (You can take out a 1 month sub for £7*, then cancel after you have received your credit, in the case of the 7 it's £47.40, the 7 pro is £72.40), also, for those who benefited from the deal earlier this year where some got £40/£80/£120 worth of store credit for them not fulfilling orders HERE, Then this very deal may be the deal for you, trade in pricing has been reduced since last time, however, there are still some decent trade prices in there, mainly iPhones.

Pixel 7 Pro
Good to know

  • The adaptive battery lasts over 24 hours, or up to 72 hours with Extreme Battery Saver
  • Snap great photos with the 50 MP dual camera or the 10.8 MP front camera with built-in flash for stunning nighttime selfies
  • Record 4K videos at 60 FPS with both front and rear cameras
  • The OLED display has vibrant colours thanks to HDR support, and up to 90 Hz refresh rate, so all motion from scrolling to gaming is super smooth
  • With built-in Google Assistant, you can compose messages, answer calls, set alarms and so much more, with just your voice
  • The Pixel 7 is waterproof with IP68 certification, so you can take it with you in the shower or in the pool

As someone who has been burned by the Google trade in scheme recently I would strongly advise that you create a new 'burner' google account to use with the Google Store for buying the phone! Do NOT use your normal Gmail account! If you subsequently have any kind of dispute with them over payment or returns they can and do permanently lock you out of unrelated Google services!

For most, I reckon getting a Currys price match and then trading in any phone for £175 will be a better deal, eg you can get a price match of £499 for white /yellow colour Pixel 7 at the moment from Amazon, less £175 is £325, maybe you've laid out £10 for a crummy 2nd hand phone but you've also managed to get Currys vouchers for the £499 at a 5% discount, so overall cost = £310. Bargain!
Basically what I'm suggesting is @MrSwitch's own deal here, just you won't get the £50 voucher any more: hotukdeals.com/dea…558
PS I asked Currys if they'd price match the Google Store, but they won't as they claim it's based in the US. (edited)

Do not buy the vouchers without checking t&c's. I have previously been burned by this when purchasing £800 of vouchers and finding out mobile phones are explicitly excluded! No possibility of a refund. Still got the credit on a currys card somewhere....

So get a one month sub, get the credit and get a Pixel 7 Pro for £72.40? Sounds legit unless I’ve missed something
    nigelwill's avatar
    nigelwill
£72.40 is the store credit you would receive for 7 Pro purchase if you took out a 2TB Google One plan (it can be cancelled after a month).

It's £220 for Pixel 6, £260 for Pixel 6 Pro, plus most other models.

I know a couple of people one with S22 and also pixel 7 to get hacked in through the telephone number, anyone else been hacked? Google knew about this and should be doing an update. It's put me off or would of got the pixel 7 pro as next phone.

If you were already subbed to the 2tb Google one thing and cancelled can you sub again for 10% credit?

Edit: just checking my store credit and the credit for two phones I bought isn't showing. I hope cancelling the subscription doesn't stop the credit. My emails said I had earned it so I wouldn't have thought they could take it back. (edited)

You have to cancel subscription after u received your store credit. As its states in T&C that you have to have active sub when store credit is due. Store credit issued 30 days after new phone is shipped

I think this is a pretty good opportunity if you're looking to trade in and try a pixel. I traded in a Samsung S10 which was reasonably tidy, although the diagnostics said the battery condition was poor. So I wasn't expecting to get the full £205 they estimated, but I was wrong!! So with topcashback and the trade in I paid just over £83 for a new pixel 6a. Apart from the lack of wireless charging, which I seldom use it's a cracking phone.

How long do you have to send in the old phone after you get the pixel?

Would be good to have a week atleast, so we can transfer over the files

Google still can't sell phones even when they try to give them away, I've had so many 6/7 it's unreal. There is no need to hold on to your oldie with what's on offer, I got rid of a in the corner 6 on the Currys deal In a £515 trade which is totally ridiculous.

Thinking of sending back my Pixel 6 for Pixel 7.
I got £47 credit and got a 2TB plan, if I can sell the Buds Pro for £100 then it is a pretty good deal to renew my phone.

Also looking to trade a 5s, the Currys deal is a winner for that but it can be so much effort with currys sometimes

I traded in a Pixel 5 for a Pixel 6 Pro last summer when the store credit was given, good deal at the time. I tried to get the 7 Pro from CPW recently when there was £150 for new contracts, £205 for 6 Pro and £200 bonus.... but they declined my order!

So I'll take a look at this when it goes live, coming to end of a Vodafone 24 month contract.

Seems to be live now, £724 for Pixel 7 Pro, £260 trade in value of 6 Pro, 2.55% on TCB.

£464 for me to upgrade, minus whatever TCB would give me. (edited)

Works out 724 at checkout page after 125 trade in and 50 to be given for a galaxy s5 (674 potentially). Not as greata deal as i thought sorry switchy.
49815558_1.jpgFactor in 72.40 if you get it with a 7.99 sub could be ok deal but currys seems better esp if you can go to store and trade in some dud for 200 instant off (edited)

Be careful with the Google store credit. I got two phones in February and cancelled my subscription as was suggested in the deal, but it was impossible to get the credit with only one month's subscription as February has 28 days and you need an active subscription 30 days after the phone is dispatched (think I bought on a Friday so that my subscription ended 5 days before the 30 days).

Not too chuffed as not only didn't the instructions as stated in the deal work, but I paid extra to not get it. That credit was factored into my decision to buy two phones. (edited)

How come the battery on the 6a is bigger? Would like the 7 due to wireless charging. Nice find again MrSwitch.
