For those not familiar with Greggs Outlet stores

They are typically converted former standard Greggs stores which now (for the most part) no longer bake or prepare on site (besides coffees)

Most of the food is a day old coming in from their standard stores which didn't manage to sell all of their stock, so most items are a day old basically.

Though there are the odd exceptions

    - Mis-shappen food, so bakes and cakes that don't fit Gregg's quality standard for regular shops
    - Offcuts, so the brownies and millionaire shortbread offcuts are bagged up and sold dirt cheap at these stores
    - Excess stock, stock which they overproduced and no longer sell at mainline stores (which I believe these Vegan Bean and Cheese melts are as they currently have the Vegan Mexican Bake and they only have one Vegan bake at a time as well as the Vegan roll)

In the case of excess and mis-shappen bakes they are baked instore though to my knowledge are not served fresh out the oven, they are left to cool before being bagged up (may be wrong though)

Sandwiches brought in are made the day prior at a standard Greggs shop, Bakes were most likely baked the day prior at a standard Greggs shop then get delivered in and bagged up in multipacks at the Outlet store, same for cakes.

Though not all stores have their stock sent to Outlet Stores, majority of Greggs now do Too Good to Go magic bags for £2.95 (£8 worth of contents) or have charity collections.

My local ones send most of their remaining stock to the food bank. I see them bringing in the stock every day. (edited)

I must say, I for one 'am all for this reduction in our meat consumption... these vegans taste delicious in sausage form!

(I'm truly sorry I simply could not contain myself)

Their very stock specific tbf . Can vary day by day

Our 2 locals have stopped most of their deals as they are always busy now . Good for sandwiches or if your lucky 8 sausage rolls for £2 later in the day

It's an Outlet which sells stock not sold at their standard stores! So you'll not always get what you're looking for! 🌞 (edited)

Why don't they sell these at these prices at all their stores??

Why does Greggs need an outlet

Ask Greggs?! These stores just sell stock not sold at their normal stores! Btw Millions pay the prices at their normal stores & they're opening many more new stores this year! I guess prices therefore aren't much of an issue! 🌞

Greggs dont really have mis shape pasties dey go in the bin once cooked and cooled if dey did recieve a mis shape. Wat I dnt understand is for years and years the shops use to throw away sandwiches den all of a sudden they started giving to second day shops. They sed chicken and meats were not allowed to be left out so all sandwiches had to go into bins and now they changed it maybe so to profit on it. They r very greedy in that way. A shop use to run on 6 or 7 staff until dey reduced it dwn to 3. Longer queues and tired staff doing multiple things at once. Also So did all fresh cream cakes go in bins. Bags and Bags full.
