The fact that people are mass upvoting a genuine midrange(ala RTX3060) part for over £500 is just insane and shows how Nvidia successfully manipulated all of you.

It's incredibly depressing because it really means the destruction of the GPU market forever going forwards. Nvidia basically doubled prices in two years and you all just accepted it. smh

"Well Lovelace was a big performance uplift".

Yea, so was Pascal. Imagine paying $500 for a GTX1060 6GB. Cuz that's what this is. Or imagine if they priced the GTX1070 at $800.

This unfortunately isn't a 'do what you will' sort of situation. Y'all have hurt all the rest of us who actually cared about having good value. You've ruined the market for PC gaming permanently. (edited)

For context, the GTX1070 launched in June 2016 with an RRP of £399 which in today's money, adjusted for inflation, is £574.

I'd feel like I was getting stung paying over 500 for 12GB Vram in 2024...at least 16GB would make this worth it.

Just ordered an RX 7900 XT 20GB for 630 doll hairs on amazon (used). I am considering this offer, but I don't think I can get past that Vram amount, given I game 4K. (edited)

4070 super is not really a 4k card, it can do some 4k with some upscaling and frame gen but it's really a 1440p GPU. Sounds like you're better of with your 7900xt, good find.

please don't give NVIDIA your money. Don't buy their overpriced products and the prices will fall. its clear people arent buying thdse in numbers and they are being discounted already. We have the power to make them cheaper.

I have heard that for years.

I'm sticking to 1080 ultra with RT / 60 fps so there's no need to spend £500 + on a card
    rapid85's avatar
60 FPS? What is this blasphemy you speak of?!

    Wish it had more memory

That's enough for its performance. Even 4070Ti has 12GB
  13. DrexGodar's avatar
Not bad, this is what the 4070 should have been from start.

Same for the 4070 Ti Super, but performance is still gimped by the power limit. Intentionally of course.

Anyone had any experience with Zotac support? They've usually been poor quality in the past.

Cards or support? This one is apparently covered by 5y Warranty according to OC website.
  19. dmannn's avatar
This card is definitely the sweet spot for 1440p gaming judging by the benchmarks. 4K will struggle unless DLSS is enabled on games that support it. But tbh, I've been happy gaming at 1440p. Nice balance of visuals and frames.
    Mark_Moorby's avatar
Same power as a 3080. Many games will run at 4k low settings approaching 120fps. For everything else DLSS, XESS and FSR all look great upscaled from 1440p.

Sticking with my 1050Ti, still going strong!
    Joe_O4p's avatar
Just upgraded from that to a 7800XT... I thought I was going strong, but you don't know what you're missing 😁

    Picked up a 6950xt 16gb for less, it's a beast.
    bonjwa's avatar
Well you think it's for less but it's a beast at eating power too if you count the energy bills it's unlikely that 6950 is cheaper.
    Good card though.
