Got the ARGB version of this a month ago for my son's first gaming rig. Plopped on an i5 9400K and doesn't break a sweat. Super quiet too.

Looking to get a new cooler to replace my 5600G stock cooler (I'm not running the integrated graphics I have a 6750XT) - want something a little quieter, is the King better than the other options?

I was looking at Assassin Spirit and Assassin X...The spirit is a little more expensive but I wanna spend as little as possible, should I go for this one? I like the ARGB one.

i have the assassin king cooling my 5600. improved temps about 15 degrees when compared with the stock cooler. the fan doesn't make much noise and i don't really notice it. its a tinyyyy bit louder than my other cooler, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Halo CPU, but that costs £20 more. worst case, if you ever wanted a more expensive, quiter fan, you can just switch it out without having to remove the heatsink. I fitted one to replace the stock AMD spire cooler. So much quieter and cooler.

Tbh, this was the first time I'd used a stock cooler in decades and I should have done it right the first time around.

Put this on my 4770K and it's better than the old Corsair AIO H50 lol.

Can report that it's perfectly adequate for Ryzen 7600 and much quieter than the Wraith it comes with. I get 5.3GHz, all cores, 76C. It is probably enough for any Ryzen in 65W mode. (edited)

I use the white ARGB version, its great, but for £1 extra I'd be tempted to get the one with the flatter plate.

Which one has the flatter plate?

There are SO many different models of this cooler now. SE, "Refined", Standard... Which one to go for?
