Is there a way to tell if these discounted cards have been touched ? I had to return the £450 7800xt hellhound deal from 3 weeks ago, (it couldnt decide when it wanted to work or even fully boot after restart). and there were no HDMI/DP plugs in the sockets. Really did make me wonder if they knew about this issue beforehand.

Now looking at the GRE or just wondering if to wait for 8000 series. my 6700xt does OK atm to be honest.

I bought it for this price when it was on eBay. It’s an excellent raster card but was kinda disappointed with its power draw and RT performance.

At this price I think it’s probably worth it but part of me wishes I’d held on until AMD/Intel produce a more competitive RT performance, I’m not too concerned about DLSS anymore because I do believe that XeSS and FSR are catching up.

What gpu could you guys reccomend for 1440p want to play games atleast medium settings dont have to be able to run at maximum highest settings i want to play alan wake 2 aswell with it i want to spend like max 600 can be a used or new gpu please let me know ur suggestions/reccomendations. thanks

This one is a good deal if you wanna spend the full £629.

Otherwise you could go for the 7900 GRE which is roughly £550 or 7800 XT which is around £450.

Both of those would be great and would be able to play 1440p at ultra settings high refresh too.

Even my 6750 XT can do 1440p Ultra, as well as a bit of 4K with FSR and tweaked settings.

Also the 6800 is £360 right now on Ebuyer that's a good shout too. (edited)

£400 and it’s worth buying this late into the cycle. IMO wait till 8800XT or 50 series from Nvidia due out this year.

I have a 6750 XT though and it's seeing me right I'll probably wait till 8000 series even if it's to grab a 7800 XT on clearance

So this is essentially the 4th fastest GPU on the market, at this price you can't go wrong. This is more than enough for a high quality experience even at 4K. Something tells me though that these price cuts are to clear the RDNA 3 inventory in prep for RDNA 4 which will provide even better value. Here's hoping better times ahead for gamers! (edited)

Torn between this or the overclocked GRE that comes in £100 cheaper with almost the same performance after the update. Hmm (edited)

The 7900XT at stock is still a good 10% or more faster than a GRE that's been overclocked on the core and memory as much as possible since the unlock. (edited)
