This thing is fantastic. I've had one for about 10 years and it's still going strong (temping fate!). I've had other brands that either didn't work when I received them or stopped working after a couple of uses. Hot.

You still have to quarter things before you put them in, no? I ask because standing upright and chopping is exceptionally painful for me (back injury). Was thinking of an OXO slap chop device as I don't want to use and wash a full food processor.

Yeah you would have to quarter some things so they would fit, like onions etc. Things like garlic etc you can put in whole as it's small. Just the larger things that couldn't fit would need to be chopped.

I've got this mini chopper and it is quite small. I suggest you get something bigger. You still have to do some degree of chopping with most of them though unless you use a full sized food processor.

Also with this one, you have to keep the button pressed down to use it. You don't need to press it for long but if you have issues, this might not be good for you.

I love kitchen gadgets but have to admit that washing them up afterwards is off-putting.
