    General rule is 20g-40g carbs intake per day....basically rabbit food and a bit of meat for meals.

    I’d hesitate to recommend this diet to seniors. If you’re considering it or someone else you know is, have them consult their doctor first. There are associated risks to keeping your body into Ketosis in your advanced years and it needs to be managed carefully.

    Keto normally is 70-80% fat from total daily calories, 5-10% carbohydrate, and 10-20% protein. For a 2000-calorie diet, this translates to about 165 grams fat, 40 grams carbohydrate, and 75 grams protein.
    May not be for everyone, but I at least when I did Keto... ended up losing quite a bit of weight, thing that didn't happened with "classic dietician diets"... but again... your experience with it may vary as everyone is different and react differently to diets.

    I was on keto for 2 years+ and has regular blood tests. My cholesterol was always in normal range.
