I set one up for someone recently, for work or students these are good machines, some nice conveniences like fingerprint and touchscreen, 16gb of ram is nice, they are business machines and built well, slightly on the heavier side compared to a sleek surface for example.

Nice keyboard and backlit, the screen is fine not amazing but it depends what laptop you're coming from if you'll really be bothered.

Confirm they are built well having bounced my work laptop across a car park and all it suffered was a scratches.

Good laptop but this has the ePrivacy filter which does impact the viewing angle and brightness quite signficantly - other than that, it's a good device and solid value.

Yes, go on youtube or reddit and see the comparison videos before you make a purchase

Any idea if the 16 ram is one stick or 2 x 8? Is there another ram slot to pop another 16 GB stick in? Vaguely remember something about one stick soldered on and another slot free...

Either 16GB soldered and an empty SODIMM slot for up to 32GB ram or 8GB soldered and an 8GB ram module as per this from Lenovo.

Nice to see a generous 16Gb on a laptop of this price.

Yes it’s a good package but people are talking about the ePrivacy filter being a real dealbreaker, I’ve got similar on one of my HP laptops and really don’t like or need it.
