There was a recent deal last week for £807.50 which expired, so slightly cheaper again.

Its currently reduced to £899.98 or £881.98 with an LG account, apply code ULTRAGEARUKLEC to then take it down to £793.78. Not sure how long it will last as LG seem to keep changing the pricing around.

This but 4K and I’d be all over it. I don’t need it for gaming, I want something high refresh as an editing monitor for my Mac and Apple’s Studio Display is a joke.

Was hoping to find something OLED for my wife for graphic design as she liked my 42" C2 but frankly the PPI and brightness was too low for her

Ended up with an LG 5K 27" (same panel as the Apple Studio 5K). You don't need high refresh for video/photo editing or graphic design (unless processing high motion video I guess, but then you can just slow the framerate in the software).

Love my QD-OLED S95B 4K144Hz for any media, and technically it's the superior tech to MLA WOLED, but I think we're going to have to wait 2-3 years for a 4K/5K 27-32" QD-OLED... probably until 8K 120Hz 65"/77" OLEDs are commonplace (again, 2-3 years) (edited)

Such a shame there is no burn in coverage! The only version so far which covers this is the corsair model.

Yeah it is a shame, I had my eye on the Corsair for that reason but monitors unboxed have just done a review and it falls short in a couple of areas. Worth a watch of that review if you're interested.

Price was also a deciding factor for me in the end, cheapest I've seen the Corsair so far is £1050, and similar for the ASUS, so went with the LG at this price. I guess if you play the waiting game more price drops will come but I didn't want to wait any longer.

AOC also have one coming out with this panel and a burn in warranty like the Corsair. So that could be one to keep an eye out for, it's supposed to be priced at around £880, but not sure when it will be available, I read end of June but that hasn't happened.

Got one of these the other week, the coating is actually fine, better than the LG IPS monitor I was using, but there was very noticeable coil whine on my model so returned it.

Its a shame expensive components/peripherals are such a lottery. I was relieved to get a GPU without any coil whine, now I've gotta hope I don't get unluck with the monitor.

The big selling point of this montior realistically at this price is the OLED panel. However, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to buy this as its too expensive at this time.

July 2022 for £550 I picked up a bundle of 22” LG 1080p IPS monitor and LG 27GP950B which was a 27” 4K 144Hz HDMI 2.1 VRR Gaming Monitor which has a Nano IPS panel that looks slightly better than a typical IPS panel obviously no where near as an OLED.

£249 extra for this OLED gaming monitor which is QHD 240Hz is a bit crazy to me. Each to their own, If i’m missing something please let me know. I just can’t justify spending extra for an OLED panel which btw has the anti-glare matte coating which kind of reduces OLED clarity

No burn in coverage on this either which is bummer as OLED panels are infamous screen burn (edited)

It's all personal preference but I think it's well worth it, HDR content looks absolutely stunning. I bought an IPS a couple of months back but returned it because of the horrible IPS glow, so off putting in dark scenes.
The matte coating will definitely devide opinion but I really like it, didn't really notice any graining from that and it does a great job of preventing reflection.

I actually ended up returning mine as it had a dead pixel and then I decided to opt for the Alienware ultrawide as that was such a bargain, but I still think the LG is a fantastic screen.
