Looks like this LG doesn't have a welded drum so that's always good
(I had it for 7.5 years and it would have lasted longer but I accidentally punctured the seal and seal drain tube when trying to simply unblock the hole of some stones that had caught in it. I didn't check consider the cost of replacement parts to be viable given the age of the machine so traded it for a new one. Will live and learn! ) (edited)
