I went into a Lidl on my way home from work last night checking on the off chance, they didn't have any of these yet. They did have a 270L bench for £89.99, and the 270L one for £29.99 (the one in this deal is 350L).

I wasn't keen on the 270L box as it looks like a rebranded/repackaged one of these which I saw made up in homebase the other week when I was looking and it didn't impress at all. The hinges had popped out of their clips and wouldn't stay back in when I put them in.

The 350L one in this deal looks the same as this one on Amazon.

Before anyone mentions the pointlessness of putting a padlock on a plastic box. Along with the obligatory hooded top, cheap cordless angle grinders are standard kit for thieves these days and make short work of even the most heavy duty bike lock. So increasingly ineffective all round as a preventative measure, but not so much when it comes to claiming on your insurance.

I can’t decide if this would work to store cushions. Looks as though the handles are just holes in the sides. Might end up a large spider and snail house

The image in the catalogue shows sunbed / lounger cushions standing on …The image in the catalogue shows sunbed / lounger cushions standing on their side and yet they are above the height of the box so the cushions will have to squashed to fit in and likely the lid will then not stay shut properly. Not worth buying imo.

    Bought this today.

Its OK - bit flimsy for sure but fits 2 small children in it with relative ease.

    With Lid open and closed.

This was 29.99 in last month's leaflet and I couldn't get one
Ah correction, this is rattan, the other one was plain. Still, would have taken that one for £5 less! Maybe they will actually have some of these in stock this time! (edited)

Bought one of these (or similar) about 2 years ago. Very flimsy when put together, did not even last the summer and fell apart. For anyone thinking about purchasing it make sure you have a good look at the quality (thickness of the panels and hinges were the main issue) - maybe the quality has improved since I bought it.
I did end up purchasing one of the better known brands after that.

Are these any good for keeping cushions in outside

Does anyone know what the lid close is like on these? Thinking it might be good to store outdoor toys but don’t want any trapped fingers or hands

I've decided to get the storage bench from Wickes instead I think. £114 at the moment, so not in the same ballpark, but at least some seating into the package too.
