    "minimum 80% battery life"

I hate it when they say this. 80% battery health on a Mac is almost a dead battery. They act like lithium cells work from 100% health to 0% health. When the reality is once they get to 80-70% health, they will malfunction and the battery will start to completely fall off a cliff causing sudden shut downs, battery bloating etc.

So in reality they're saying "mimimum 33% battery". Which sounds a lot worse, doesn't it? (edited)

These can't be older than 3 years or so, how come the battery could be finished unless it was constantly charged and depleted everyday? Would this even do this?

    Is the 2020 M1 worth £140 more than the 2020 i5? (edited)

Yes absolutely. Getting an Intel Mac at this point isn’t a good idea really. You should get 5 years from the M1 at least

Bought an apple watch from these guys once. Watch in poor condition and actually sent the wrong one. (Ordered stainless steel and sent aluminium). Slow response to getting it sorted. Just returned and walked away. Not a good experience

I am not sure how keen I would be to buy refurbished apple products given how poor the batteries are.

Are the batteries poor on these....previous apple MacBook Pro has been fantastic and it's 6+ years old

The 2020 Macbook Air I traded in with Apple for a new M2 model had 650 battery cycles but you still got around 5-6 hours battery life out of it.

Seems like a good deal, maximum of 3 and a half years old, but comments are not promising regarding the seller

This is a good deal except the problem with the soldered SSD and the fact if the SSD fails because the Bios system requires a functioning SSD , your laptop becomes worthless in an instance- and the SSD’s failure regularly because if the component which reduces 13.7 volts to 2.3 volts fails it fries the SSD.This is a very common fault and I should know as precisely the same thing happened to my 3 year moderately used £1799 MacBook Pro 2020.If the same thing happened to my Huawei the cost to repair out of warranty is around £279. So there’s no way to replace the SSD?
