Have this router and it’s pretty much perfect apart from no micro adjustment unless you also buy the plunge base.

In hindsight I’d have gone for the equivalent Dewalt as it allows for fine adjustment of the height of the bit (I’m invested in both battery systems) . Additionally it has a base with a finger rest to better help keeping it stable and avoiding tilts which can really mess up your routes.

If you're new to routers. Get a base for this as it's really narrow and if you're not really careful you will tilt it... Dangerous and will ruin whatever you making. Great tool though I have kne

You tilted the router again, didn't you? I hope your knees are okay

Awesome router and as a newbie I found it pretty easy to use, but also got the plunge base for it which is very handy

The Katsu copy of this is near identical, has been on the market for AGES, is reviewed extremely well and is much cheaper. I have one. Zero complaints.

What do people use this for? I can't think of many DIY uses but happy to learn

They're one of those tools that you don't need for the day to day, but when you do need them, it's hard to find anything that will beat them.

Cutting hinge recesses on door frames etc, so much easier to plunge and cut to template
