About this deal

Just been looking at the Screwfix deal for the Dewalt twin pack at £199.99.

Not quite what I was looking for due to the lower spec items and only the 4ah batteries.

This seemed much more appealing.

The 796 is a beast of a drill, not too heavy and very comfortable in use, the 887 is a magnificent tool with it's switched controls at the base, a formidable tool in your armoury almost dismissing the use for a torque wrench.
I have both these tools and I'll not change, the new MacLaren models are plastic chuck btw so if you're into serious DiY you'll never go wrong with this set.

You can pick these up on eBay cheaper. There is a monthly code that falls on about 2-3 retailers. These are normally about £55 each separate. You don't get the case tho.

The case is awesome though, but if the buyer isn’t bothered about the case, then definitely cheaper to buy them separately.

So for an extra £60 odd quid you will get 2 x 4ah batteries + a charger . You can't buy those at that price so I would say the Screwfix deal is better.

Hi. Yes, that is correct. However, this combi and impact are a lot better than the Screwfix ones, which are a bit more DIY. There are usually good deals on the 4 and 5ah batteries.

In February, I purchased this set of tools with two 3Ah batteries and a charger for £145 for my dad. And now I really want these tools for myself since I got to try them and they were amazing! But I’d also like them with 4Ah - 5Ah batteries 😝 (for the pure greed reasons)
