Used this to panel a wall. We'd already done one wall the old fashioned way with pink grip and pins and it was a pain. This thing blasted the nails in with no fuss.

Just be aware that this is a nail gun for specific jobs. You'll be able to pin soft wood for certain jobs such as paneling, adding moulding to skirting etc. But you're not gonna do a garden fence or build a shed with this.

Great bit of kit, I use it with a Makita Battery adapter from Amazon and it works perfectly.
So much more practical than the Trend corded brad nail gun I used previously.

Can you buy any 18 gauge brad nails or do they need to be specifically compatible with the Ryobi gun? I'm looking for stainless steel nails for exterior use. Thanks. (edited)

Did anyone else go for this? Mine arrived today and I'm not convinced it's new. The box was bashed about and taped up as if it had previously been opened. Everything seems intact, but the manufacturer date is the start of 2021 too. I haven't tried it yet.

    Anyone else have any issues?
