Update 1
Megathread Update - I added some new products I spotted on-site and on the Amazon site

Hello everybody,

Did you notice it is Prime Day? In case you did, you are probably in a bit of a shopping frenzy (I bought too many things and I should obviously give it a rest).

Anyway, one of the things I was more eager for this Prime Day to come was definitely to see if any good offer on any good Air Fryer would come along.

I was expecting more good deals to be completely honest, but I think I found some good ones (I was busy and didn't realise a really good Ninja one went out of stock so...too bad for me) and I thought it would be good to have a round up of the best ones I could see listed on-site (If you see more please drop me a line so I can add them to the thread).

Nice idea OP: I tried the Ninja 3.8 L, ‎1550 W, but didn't find it great.
Is it really the best (single drawer) air fryer?
    b1g1an's avatar
Nope, Philips, original and best, no silly gimmicks like some we could mention. All the others are just versions changed enough to get around the patent. Most don't circulate the air properly under the food so don't cook evenly, even Cosori's dual element one isn't all that from what i've seen. Ninja is all hype in the same way they did with the blender market but people buy them just like they buy Dyson's. The only reason you should need to shake an air fryer basket is to separate frozen chips etc as they stick together when they start to defrost, same as in the oven. Separate basket makes serving easier and means all the oil stays in the pan.

Had one of the originals when they came out around 10 years ago, wanted something bigger and looked at the others which all seemed to have their own downsides. Finally replaced it with a new Philips XXL, bargain off ebay, which I'm very pleased with. Old one still in full working order and has been passed on to my eldest who has just bought his first house.

My opinion is my own obviously but I hope that helps. (edited)

User reviews are what I look for. I'm after a rotisserie style air fryer and swamped by choices.
Tefal and Tower are the ones that I am thinking. Appreciate any input.

Had Tefal. I'm avoiding all their electric products now. Poor quality and they snub warranty requests. Their pots & pans are great though.

Good price for tefal one, it's absolutely brilliant.

    New to Air Fryer's world.

    Any recommendation?

Try not to be driven by prices.
Buy it right and you'll only buy it once. Philips is my choice but its personal preference.

As mentioned Philips are far better than the competitors. I gave my Ninja away to return to Philips which cooks more evenly in 2 thirds of the time.

Agreed, I’m still using mine and it’s close to 4 years old and going strong!

Nice thread. The ninja has been re-upped in black rather than copper: hotukdeals.com/sha…043

I got the instant pot from Amazon Warehouse for £66 like new condition.

    30% warehouse for prime.

Got original instant pot, so I hope the upgrade is worth the investment.

Anyone able to recommend what size to get for 2 people?
    xtreamxtc's avatar
Hey. At the moment we've got a 6L Asda own brand. It does the job but it's less about the size Vs number of people and I think more about what you'll use it for and if you want to cook different things at the same time. The disadvantage of having a one pot wonder, is having to cook part of a dish and then keep it on to do the rest. E.g chicken and chips you'd need to run it twice. Dual draw ones, you can cook both parts at the same time. There are somethings you can cook together (beige food mainly like chips, nuggets) but usually you have to separate meats and carbs, just meaning the overall cooking time and energy used isn't very efficient. Still I find it cooks better and quicker than an over. I'm desperately trying to stop myself getting a two draw, but if I had to buy again I defo would

Not sure how I got it for this price as showing as £85.50

Gutted I missed the 9.5l ninja. It was same price as the 7.2 is now.
I'm thinking about the big 11l Tefal. Seems a good price at 110 . It's either that or spend double on the Ninja 9.5 smart cook which can get for 210.

Have you looked at the tower vortx 9L duo? Looks a lot like the Ninja and down to £99. Not sure of people's views on one Vs the other

The inflation in the RRP when these deals are pushed are ridiculous

Purchased an Instant Pot Duo Crisp Ultimate via eBay a few months ago - game changer. I use it probably every day not much for the air fry mode but for the pressure cook system. Ridiculously faster compared to traditional cooking systems. If you are going to spend £100+ for an air fryer, consider buying one of these multi cookers on marketplace or eBay as they go for pretty cheap (never would have bought it at RRP).

What have you done in the instant pot just so I can get a understand of the uses and what it can do. Thanks. (edited)
