    Tastes rank without palm oil

Palm oil is added for stopping the oil separation at the top and to give it an extra couple of months of the shelf life. Roasting the peanuts brings out the oils, that is where the taste is and added salt and/or sugar will enhance the flavour. Just like coffee, the type of roast will dictate the flavour so you may see some labelled dark or rich roast. All you need is peanuts and salt for a an authentic taste.

Prefer smooth. Yeah merian is the best as palm oil is bad for you. Nothing but peanuts and salt ect in meridian.
Wonder why just this store. £8.50 for delivery elsewhere.
Wish marmite was on sale.Bet if you order this for delivery it won't show up.

Thanks Jade, Got one yesterday while stocking up on the wine offer at Fulham Wharf, still half a dozen left and a bit weird that they've given it a white label price lock !!??!!?? ..................................

That's a bargain... But very weird... Meridian themselves don't list 1.5kg tubs on their own website. I've never seen bigger than 1kg. Grab them while you can!!

What's more weird is they have a line of new butters that make no sense. One is vitamin c enriched, one fortified with inulin fibre for more fibre and one with oat fibre for energy. Have some oats with strawberries, kiwi, and peanut butter and you get vitamin c, fibre and energy.
