3C's says It's been £38.00 so a decent reduction. I have four sealed Fireangel detectors in my home. The first 10 year battery has failed so stocking up with these. I would appreciate your comments especially if you're using them to protect your home.

Info added by

【Interconnect Smart Smoke Alarm with Hub】When the smart smoke alarm detects smoke or high temperatures, the other alarms connected under the same hub will beep to remind you. One Meross hub can hold up to 16 Meross devices, including sensors, detectors, and thermostatic valves, at the same time.
【Smoke and Overheating Detection】In addition to smoke detection, it can also detect overheating. If the temperature is too high (54-70℃), a beep sounds from meross fire alarm to remind you. Support low battery warning. 85dB MAX. loud alarm.
【Real-Time Safety Alarm】When high temperatures or dense smoke are detected, the Meross app or the Apple Home app will be notified immediately. Even if you are not at home, you can receive alarm information in real-time. The home smoke detector has passed multiple safety tests, is easy to use, and provides reassurance.
【Easy Home Automation】You can set triggers to control other Meross devices in the Meross app. For example, you can turn on the Meross bulb in the hallway when the smoke detector sounds. Other methods of use are waiting to be unlocked by you.
【Apple HomeKit and SmartThings Supported】Device control is supported via the Meross app and Apple Home (including Apple Watch, Apple TV, and HomePod). Android users can use the Meross app on Android 6.0 or above.

Z2M not showing support for it.

maybe the homebridge integration will let it communicate with HA (edited)

'up to' 12 months battery life will be a pain, cant be dealing with low battery chirps that often especially if they start in the middle of the night..

Current building regs stop short of mandating hardwired detectors for most residential use cases, but I see it as a strong recommendation.
If I was putting in a new multi-unit system I would be taking that into consideration.

Just bought one and an additional smoke alarm, best part you can buy additional smoke alarms(without the hub) for £23.99 (use the £6 voucher).

Would be good to get a definitive on this. I expect wireless interlinked, so would probably fall under the same issues as Nest Protect under Scottish Regs. (edited)

Interested to hear if anyone has used these. Have a meross garage door controller (which has generally been bullet proof. And the extension lead which lost connection and now use manually. Like the OP I have fireangels currently but would prefer a connected system.

I can't make sense of the hub and smartthings situation. Are the smoke alarms thread/ZigBee devices that talk to the hub and then the hub connects to smartthings via a cloud integration?

Edit: Homekit is usually locally controlled, which is why I'm questioning if there's a cloud integration. I mentioned smartthings because of self-interest (edited)

Is it compatible with Alexa and is the hub really worth it?

Is this a wifi hub with 433mhz RF between the hub and the detector(s)?

I wish these had motion sensors too. Could have been extremely useful integration with other smart devices.

Buy a HomePod and use your existing "dumb" alarms with it.

Do you only need one hub version if buying several smart detectors?

As the non-hub smart version has a £6 off voucher.

Looked at this but genuinely cant see the point, a £5 smoke alarm will alert you if there is a fire. Surely thats all you really need?

But if there's a fire when you are away from home, you could email the local fire station. (edited)
