If looking for the same amount of slots with smaller form factor the asus prime z690m plus d4 with 3x m.2 slots is good. Still going strong for me 1.5 years later

I have two of the non-wifi versions running i5 13600k after bios updates.
Great board a lots of M.2
Note it is DDR4, which is great if looking for a budget setup.

    I paid like £180 a year ago?

This supports 13th and 14th gen after a BIOS update. BIOS for 14th gen support is already released. The board has a BIOS flashback button so no CPU needed to update.

Thanks, good to know. I've bought this and an i5 for my son and was wondering if we were going to have to pop in an older CPU to reflash the BIOS.

About to upgrade to a 13600K (not interested in overclocking). Second guessing myself now regarding the tomahawk B760 DDR5 I had chosen at £170. Any thoughts?

I would cost up the difference and you might find it is not that much. DDR5 prices have come down so maybe it won't be that much. And if you think you might OC in the future then the DDR5 is probably where you should go.

Also there is some hassle with the 670, as you will probably have to update the bios on the 670. Which is easy enough, and the main issues with that are fixed by formatting the USB stick correctly.

Or you could maybe do 13700k on DDR4 vs 13600k on DDR5. There are probably a few options.

If it was me today and the price difference was £100 or so I'd go with the 760 and DDR5.
