Decent sale on NB running shoes

The most Fresh Foam used in any shoe to date, the latest in the line utilizes more Fresh Foam X, stacks it higher than ever before, and distributes it across the length of the shoe, offering a plush, yet stable underfoot experience. A data driven outsole applies the strategic placement of dramatic cushion zones and drastic flex zones promoting a natural stride while the silhouette’s rocker profile promotes a smooth transition and ride. All of this sits beneath an engineered mesh upper that keeps you locked with breathable comfort and support.

It's crazy how thin the soles have become in the last few years...these will last about 5 miles before the sole is done while the rest of the shoe is fine.

So basically a big thick insole.

What’s the sizing like? Found the V12 1080 a night tight across the top of the foot. Wouldn’t mind a pair of these for recovery runs.

Got a pair of these for £72 recently from JD sports with student discount code.
I got them for long/recovery runs but naively did a 10 miler in my first run with them and ended up with some horrible midsole blistering. I haven’t had my feet measured but am sure they’re slightly wide. Hopefully they just need bedding in, as I could otherwise feel the benefit of extra cushioning underfoot over using my Novablast 3’s

Same here. Rubbed on the inside of my midsole

Is this a Male or female shoe?

This version is male. Men's shoes are wider and someone on this thread thinks they're wider than normal so probably wouldn't suit a woman unless unusually wide feet

Can someone please guide how to get a gait assessment done and finding the right type of running shoes. I run 5-10 k, 3 days a week. I recently started getting knee pain - never had this for the last 8 years. I have been using neutral running shoes all along on recommendation of a running doctor friend. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

If you go to a running shop (up and running for example) they can do an assessment, they have you run on a treadmill and watch the way your foot lands.

I know New Balance shoes are trendy but I just don't like them! (I like the training tops). These look like platform shoes from the 70s!

I got a pair of these in Wellgosh closing sale for £42 and they give me nasty blisters on the arches. The insole wraps around the arch ridiculously high and creates a blister after 3-4 miles. I've never managed anything longer than 7 miles in these without ripping my arches open. I tried insoles from different shoes I own as well and nothing worked...

I've decided enough is enough and I'm putting them on eBay.

This is probably just my personal experience and other people will be fine but maybe it will help someone decide. (edited)

I bought a pair of new balance last year for the first time in years. Clocked up 250k in them before I worked out I had never suffered blisters and painful toes before wearing them.

Gone back to ASICS and Brookes.

That are very ugly but how does the cushioning compare to the Boost foam from Adidas?
