    Cheers - followed the instructions in the linked article and it does work in the end but Its a bit clunky in places - things can take a little while to register - but points have been added. MS do seem determined to push Edge over Chrome etc.

    Without a console the play with friends reward on PC brings the most daily points - along with PC and mobile searches, web quests, and game rewards done on cloud it can come to 18000 points (£12 in shopping vouchers) a month as long as you remember to do things each and every day

    There's also the daily Plant A Tree activity from the Weather page or that toolbar

    Does the plant a tree thing give u rewards points? did the tasks but didn't get anything?

    Cheers. Couldn't get the recommended browser settings to tick until I'd reset the settings in edge - not that it seemed to actually be worth any points to me.

    Not had any luck with this.

    On Edge on the Mac the Action Center option in Customise Sidebar is missing

    Edge on the PC has Action Center, but when i activate and click on it i get this message 'This content is blocked. Contact the site owner to fix the issue.' No idea how to solve this, tried searching.

    I get the exact same error. Have tried resetting my settings, setting Edge as the default browser, etc. But no luck.

    I'm probably being immensely dim, I could do the Action Centre sidebar, I played the surfing game... I seem to have no points. And I don't see anything about points anywhere (images pasted above). When I opened Bing it flashed up that it had updated itself, but not sure if that affects anything.

    Keep trying to play that surf game, where does it say you get 100 points? I see no mention of it, it's not added to my points, baffled...

    Right, annoyed... (the sidebar or whatever they call it shows now.. dunno what delay was, but it's not giving me points for doing things) been playing that sodding game for AGES and it still says "in progress". Not worth 100 points playing that crap. Unless Microsoft start giving out headache tablets in exchange for points... (edited)

    goto settings by clicking on the 3 dots next top profile,when on settings from the dropdown menu goto sidebar and make sure sidebar is showing,when sidbar is activated on the right you will see a + click on this it should open up at the side and you should see under apps action centre make sure this is turned on

    Did this the other day by downloading Dev build of Edge, and got the points above plus an additinal 3100 points for using the floating search bar 3 days in a row.

    Now works for me after a couple of hours. Ran the update and it did update to new version and auto restarted Edge. Still nothing. In the end a proper reboot of the machine did the trick. Just in case anyone else has the same issue.

    The "Pinning Wizard" is awful. It suggests 6 sites of which 4 I never go to and the other 2 only very occasionally.
    I guess it's good to know they know very little about my browsing habits.

    Thanks for sharing, heat added. I did have 200k points but cashed in £5 the other day for some DLC. My wake up routine involves getting a cuppa and I auto pilot through getting these points for myself, other half and my daughter whilst I wake up!

    There is a bug with the Pinning Wizzard where it sometimes fails to load and all you see is a spinning wheel. To get past this task, hit the three dots in the top left, select "More Tools" and then "Pin to taskbar". The other 2 tasks needed to obtain 300 points work.

    Thanks OP for the easy points. There is a reddit thread on points that posted something similar a week ago and is well worth checking in on from time to time.
