    So if VAT doesn't apply to kids clothes, why is the branded stuff never much cheaper than an adult version?

    It's a plain cap with a metal badge on it. I bought a pack of two Puma adult caps of a very similar style recently for £6.50 so clearly these cost peanuts to produce.

    It’s got a nike tick on it, that’s why it’s more expensive than a puma baseball cap. Surely you realise there is no proportional correlation between cost of production and RRP because of brand value?
