Is this still 720p max quality?

The sticks can output 1080p for other sources (YouTube, Netflix, iPlayer etc.) but NOWTV only currently streams at 720p so you'll be limited by that unfortunately. There are ways to offset this (which tbf you shouldn’t have to ), for example most TVs now, whether they’re 1080p or 4K, have pretty good upscaling technology so depending on your TVs manufacturer NOWTV may look stunning in 4K, or it may look like garbage. If you have a console these are usually actually pretty good with upscaling too using the NOWTV app, I have my PS4 Pro hooked up to a 4K Samsung (both will somehow be sampling and upscaling in their own magical ways) and GOT looks comparable to the Blu-rays (don’t ask me why I have them on Blu-ray as well ) or Netflix.

YMMV of course but it's not as bad as some people make out. Don't get me wrong I think its criminal they're still streaming 720p in 2019, especially after promising 1080p by the end of 2018, but it is what it is. There's a ton of content on NOWTV so it depends what you're into but if you can find some good codes for NOWTV then realistically for a few £ a month it’s difficult to beat. I haven't paid more than £3 a month for nearly 2 years so I can live with 720p quality, for now... (edited)

This is worth it just to watch GoT, cheaper than buying a physical box set for anyone that wants to catch up on it before the final series.

Currys are selling 2 months entertainment pass on eBay for £10. If you have a Samsung TV you don't need the dongle!

GoT is only 6 episodes so that's me covered! (edited)

That's the spec of the stick, NowTV itself is still 720P.

I may pick this up thanks. I just signed up to their fibre and it came with 6 months free entertainment which has to be redeemed by the end of May. And idea if I can just keep these two months for when that is finished?

I'd hope you just add the code to your account and it should stack adding 2 more months?

I "won" 2 months on the McDonald's monopoly competition so I'm hoping to add my code to the existing 2 months I have when we collect ours. I'll find out later.

How does this work now if you want to sell the hardware? I already have a stick and the pass came on it. Is there any way to just keep the pass in this scenario and put the stick on ebay?

Plug the stick in and sign into your account and it will add the pass to your account for you to use it when you want.

True, but some people might find that even if their TV can run the app natively, or they already have a games console or set top box connected that has the Now TV app, it can be worth keeping the stick for use with a kitchen or bedroom TV in order to watch iplayer, ITV Hub, etc. You don't need to have an active pass on order to watch those.
